Good morning everyone! Here is a link to my full reaction and review of the second episode of season 2 of The Expanse! Please excuse the different setting and the imperfect camera angle. I wanted to get this episode filmed for you - but also, really, REALLY didn't want to get out of bed! Haha :P

The edited (early access) version of this episode will be posted later in the day on Monday. It's going to be hard for me to cut it down though, given how intense and packed this episode was! What a ride! Thanks everyone!

All the best,

Molly

You're right! I am so sorry. For some reason I overlooked part 2.

Great reaction and comments as usual, Molly, and as others have noted, you ain't seen nothing yet. But this is definitely a favorite episode of mine as well, for the realistic battle sequence (with holes being punched in the ship, and with poor Amos getting tossed around between the inner and outer hulls like some sort of 3D pinball), for the great banter between Miller and Diogo (Belter kid), and so much more. But yeah, there's more coming. Scott's point about Phoebe (up near the top of the comment section) is an important one, and it kind of blows apart Dresden's (evil mad scientist guy's) argument. Even if Phoebe was sent here as a weapon to take us out (and there's no clear evidence of that either, but let's stipulate that it was), it was sent a LONG time ago, so either the evil aliens who supposedly sent it have multi million year lifespans and are playing a very, very, very long game here, or the argument that we need to harness the Protomolecule's capabilities before its makers attack us is pretty specious. I have no doubt that Dresden has convinced himself of this whole story in order to feel good about what he's doing (or perhaps just to sell it better), but it's really a pretty bogus argument if you think about it for more than 10 seconds. In reality, Eros was a brutal genocide, nothing less, and the rest is just spin. Not even very good spin. A couple new character names for you; you'll learn them organically in time, but it's not really a spoiler to mention their names so you don't have to refer to them as "Fred's second in command, I think" or other things like that. The kid who was stealing water and now thinks he's invincible is (as I mentioned a moment ago) Diogo Harari. Fred's second in command (Director of Operations is, I believe, her official title; she's also in charge of security) is Camina Drummer and, as others have told you, she's a great character and a fan fave. The Martian Marine team (absent from this episode, but they'll be back) are privates Travis (the "Earther") and Hillman, Corporal Sa'id, and their leader, Gunnery Sergent Roberta "Bobbie" Draper (also sometimes called "Gunny," an affectionate reference to her rank). And the evil (and now deceased) mad scientist is (was) Antony Dresden. So much good stuff ahead! I know I keep repeating that, but man, if you only knew... :)
