I sketched her because right now she feels the closest OC to me

Anyway, past several days have been hell, with my stupid computer dying and all the hustle that came with it. Fortunately, Lime could help me to restore the files, so I didn't lose much of them, but what I did lose is time from work (though it was a break for my hurting eyes for sure %)). My old laptop had two drives and one survived, this is why we could restore everything and transport it to the safe place, and this it nice. But  the laptop was acting delirious for this whole time as the dead disk was still there, needed for restoring the files, and I got so fed up with it (it's been acting really annoying occasionally, like refusing to detect any wifi around it or merging icons together) that I decided to get myself a new one since I was thinking about it for a long time already. Plus I didn't want to make my commissioners wait as it was impossible to work on the old one as it couldn't even open a picture properly or lower the sound.

And I did. I bought the new one, MSI. And it seemed perfect, fast, beautiful, way lighter than my old one, decent with gaming and stuff. But I only checked the screen by looking at my dark colored artworks, and it all was fine and nice, so I didn't notice that it has some weird stuff happening with the screen. Like I said on twitter, red colors looked orange. Washed out, odd orange that was literally killing every hue and tone on my warm-colored works. Also, even emojis looked orange. Even Opera browser icon. And there's no way to fix it because apparently this is how the screen itself is made, plus it was lacking adjustments in general because MSI removed this feature for some reason. You can only do some basic Windows calibration and a bit of Intel graphics adjustments, that aren't doing much and can't fix the orange red because red is just impossible to display on this one. I have a red mouse and the difference with how red looks on the screen and IRL is just obvious, it's right here. I can't work like that, I'm an artist and working with colors is a huge, if not the biggest, part of my job. Honestly I got so mad %))) I spend two or three days adjusting it for work and trying to fix this color bs and got nothing in the end. I'm going to return it because this laptop isn't working for me as the artist.

Good news is all the files were relocated so a couple of hours ago Lime could disable the dead drive and the old laptop stopped going insane. I had to readjust everything on it again, also gotta keep a lot of stuff off it for now as it doesn't have enough space, but seems like I can work on it. I had to give up some of my programs for now but generally it's alright. At least the screen never was an issue and can display the colors perfectly. Yes, I had to adjust it after I bought it, but I actually could do it since it was possible. Now I'm gonna wait until Lime arrives in November and installs the new drive. I'm hoping the borders won't be closed and we can actually see each other (covid pressure is driving me mad, too)

Sketched Pticenoga to sublimate %)))

Super glad I could fix it and figure out a way to prevent something like this happening again. 😏Pticenogi is definitely you!!
