in Q1 of 2007 the average house in the US sold for $322k. By Q1 of 2009 it dropped down to $257k. It wouldn't get back above $322k until Q3 of 2013. In college my roommate bought a newly built home in 2005 for like $500k (he rented out the other rooms to me and other friends to pay his mortgage and then some). It was eventually worth half what he bought it for and it took years for it to recover the market price so he could sell it. He just rented it for years instead.

Another little goof is that Mac is wearing tan shorts when we see him jump in the pool but then while chicken fighting he can been seen wearing what looks like blue jeans.
