A modern masterpiece and deserving of every award it has received. It goes without saying that Daniel Day Lewis is incredible in his performance of Daniel Plainview but I applaud Paul Dano standing toe to toe with DDL and hanging in there with him, Dano really should have a bigger career than one he has had so far. Jonny Greenwood's score is one of my absolute all time favorites that I listen to regularly. This isn't the most re-watchable PTA movie like Boogie Nights is but I do revisit this every few years and every time I am blown away by it. 5 stars
