Ok, ok. How are you so good at coming up with scenarios I would never have thought, yet seem so perfect and inevitable once you've explained them? It's an amazing talent. <3 There is such a relaxed yet dominant feeling to Qui-Gon's posture here--he knows who's in control, no matter how much Maul (and Obi-Wan!) may test his patience. And the look on Maul's face and the way his fingers are holding on tell such a story--he is wanting to act out and test things, but there's still some of it that (consciously or not) knows he's safe here. Oh, and the setting is perfect--elegant and dignified but not fussy.
