Starter Guide for the New Comic System! (Patreon)

Hey all! I have done some talking with some other creators about some good ways of protecting against piracy, and I have come to a conclusion! Starting with this week's upload, I will be using Proton Drive!

Why the switch from G Drive? It generally comes down to the feature-set present on Proton Drive.

With the features of Proton Drive, I can now share a link to each comic individually, which will expire after a certain period of time! I can use this to directly link the full comic in the description of a post, and make sure that that link is not usable in the future!

I can also set a rotating password to the monthly drive in order to prevent bad actors from hijacking it without having to change the link every month! This password will be in the welcome note on the "Membership" tab!

Of course, everything will end up in the monthly drive, so even after an individual link expires, it will still be available on the main monthly Proton Drive!

If this sounds complicated, let me break it down step-by-step!:

1. Comic is uploaded to Patreon with a link to it on Proton Drive.

2. The comic is uploaded to the Proton Monthly Drive link (password protected).

3. After a period (let's just say a week!), that link to the individual comic (not the Proton Monthly Drive) will expire and no longer work!

4. From that point on, the comic will be accessible on the monthly drive (password protected).

I'm excited to implement this new system, and even more excited to provide you all with a solution that does not interrupt my flow of comics!
