Soles Before the Storm WIP (Patreon)

Sup? Like I told the Foot-fans, took 2 days to do roughly 20 seconds. I kinda just pushed through. I'll be honest, I didn't think I was going to make it through that first scene. The initial version is hilariously bad. It's like the worst thing I've ever done. I don't know if it was the migraine, the shooting pain in my legs or lack of food, but the redo turned out much better. My hypothesis is that I don't do well with pose-to-pose animation. I actually suck at it really badly. When I started working on it I knew exactly what I wanted to do and thought that would save time. I even did a video reference to make it look as smooth as possible, but damn...it was terrible... With straight-ahead I was able to use the 2nd day of work to make it look mostly decent, or at least I think it does.

I've attached both versions to this post. I thought about trying to do a 60 fps version for you, but the animation looks odd in 60 fps. It'll require more rework that it's worth, and the 24 fps version looks better.

Take a look. Is the wip as hilariously bad as I said? Is the redo any much better? I'm tired. I'll be working on renders tomorrow to kinda decompress, and then over the weekend, I'll be stepping away to cater to the kids.
