Hey everyone!

Here is Episode 40 of your exclusive Weekly patroncast!

It's published early, as I'll leave for my holidays in the South East of France tomorrow, and won't be back until September, 6th.

In this one, I talk about:

- 00:58 Microsoft making it harder to switch default browsers in Windows, and how you get the feeling that each part of Windows is ruled by a different team from a different era.

- 07:32 Intel announcing their new Gaming-grade GPUs, and how having more competition in this space is probably a good thing

-12:03 My super intense, 6-video-producing week, and what it taught me about going full time and how much I can produce.

I hope you guys enjoy this one, there won't be one next week, and maybe the one after that will arrive on September, 7, a day late.

Also, no voting this month, as preparing all this content in advance kinda prevented me from being able to ask you guys to vote, but don't worry, voting will be back for the topics for October!

See you soon!

Yeah, can’t wait to see these new GPUs, and see what they’re worth, and how well they’re supported under Linux! It was a fun experiment, but I wouldn’t do that every week, that’s too much pressure for just one week 😅 As per the holidays, the fire seems to be stopped for now, but I can safely say I was very anxious to know if I could go there at all! My parents are fortunately far enough away that they shouldn’t have any problem!

By the way, about your last video on applications at work. I use Peek for making videos of bugs. Easy, simple, single purpose app that produce a gif and other formats. A little less overkill than OBS 😁. Have you ever tried it ?

Can’t say I have! I’ll take a look, it might be simpler 😅

It's a really good example of single purpose app. Nice and efficient. You might adopt it 😉
