Hey everyone!

Here is the new episode of your weekly Patroncast!

In this one, I talk about:

- Headerbars, menubars, and titlebars, and how they are all flawed in a way, and how I think we could take the best of them and make it a one-stop-shop solution for all types of apps, simple or complex.
Link to the article from Nate Graham: https://pointieststick.com/2021/04/03/how-i-learned-to-stop-worrying-and-love-the-hamburger-menu/

- Google winning its court ruling against Oracle, on the fair use of parts of the Java API, and how it's probably one of the most important rulings in tech in decades

- Device Overload, or how tech and tech devices have been creeping in my life after I spent so much time trying to reduce how many things I own

I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I had fun recording it :)

Bye!

Nick

No problem :) The ribbon is definitely not space efficient, but it’s (IMO) more user friendly :)

Re: Phone considerations: You never mention keeping just the iPhone and the Pine as an option. I'm assuming that this comes down to your reliance on KDE Connect?

It’s more that I really like /e/ and I want to keep using it, but the phone it runs on is just too bad camera wise to use to record the videos :)
