I wonder if the Rust support in the driver will be a net positive. We've all heard Rust's security pitch before, but at the same time I wonder about it only having one main compiler, the interface between the C and Rust, the complication of the build process, and the greater potential complexity for each language that could be introduced now. Maybe these are non-issues, or at least lesser issues than memory unsafety, IDK.

You know, Russian "censorship jail" was started too as protection from child pornography distribution. And it ended as a total ban of free opinion expression. So implementing a non-transparent message control mechanism will lead to a total private messaging censorship. That's bad.
