Filling my second Walmart black and yellow tote with medical supplies (along with the small EMT duffle in the house). Another option for sutures are the disposable staples, easy and quicker. They now sell bandage packs that have thread in them for sutures, I haven’t tried them yet, but they might be the best for a novice. As a rule of thumb, if you put it on, have the right stuff to take it off. Good medical shears are a must and suture removal kits are sterile and like $6 on Amazon. Something you might consider are spare supplies for your IFAKs. I keep several Recon Medical bleed kits in my supplies. Oh and tourniquets, always have tourniquets on hand.
