Wherever and whenever we went down route with your guys (84_02) the Americans never had beer, as a brit we found it really easy to swap beer for useful stuff you had, always wondered why you were dry?

The speed of Patreon has gone from bad to worse. Can't even listen to an episode without long pauses. Forget about downloading the episode, no network connection at all

Not allowed. Brits had their beer, French were issued wine. The US fighting in two 'dry' countries made it policy that you can't have alcohol. It never stopped anyone but the logic was that we shouldn't be getting drunk in a war zone in a country where the people we are fighting don't drink because it's culturally offensive. Also drunk teenagers aren't very useful. I'm sure the command staff was blasted every night.
