Hi folks!

The first month of the patreon being setup is coming to an end and I waned to say a few things here.

Firstly, thank you so much to the people who signed on to support me, support Chrysalis and pay for something you could have had for free. You might think that chipping in one or five dollars a month doesn't amount to much but it means so much to me. I was honestly really bummed out when I rejected the Webnovel contract based on it's terms. My dream was to make a living writing webnovels but I wasn't prepared to sign away so much control in order to achieve it. Going to Patreon was my second option and I'm so pleased that you've decided to get on board.

Secondly I wanted to talk about what the money here goes towards. I have full time job so this money isn't going into putting food on my table or anything. Obviously it provides motivation but beyond that I want to invest back into the story. Whatever funds come through Patreon will go into commissioning artwork for the story and preparing for a fully edited e-book release on amazon with sweet ass illustrations and additional notes from me. That's my goal for this year anyway.

If Patreon ever gets really out of control (successful)  I would love to try and commission a manga adaptation of the novel. Obviously that's a massive pipe dream but hey, I can dream.

Thirdly and this one's a bit of a downer. I've been around on Patreon long enough to know that sometimes people adjust their pledges on the pay date and then update them afterwards so they can retain benefits without paying for them. Obviously that would make me sad and hopefully it doesn't happen, I really don't want to have to withhold privileges from people or make new patrons have to wait until the month ticks over before they can access rewards.

Lastly I just wanted to say that Chrysalis has been a heap of fun to write and I don't intend to stop anytime soon. It's not easy putting up with the slow release schedule and missed days but I appreciate your patience. Have a great day! :)

You are doing an awesome job (congrats on #2 popular novel of the week on RR btw) - keep being you and get enough sleep. :)
