Aaaand here we are at the "Ozymandias" of this show. God, remember when this show was just Jimmy reading bingo numbers at a retirement home and Kim was having coffee with Chuck and discussing her future at the firm? Simpler times.

I think you hit the nail on the head about why Howard's death is so tragic. The first time I watched this episode, I thought for sure his end would be commiting suicide. But when he finally confronts Kim and Jimmy, we realize how resilient and strong he is. Now his legacy is that he was a drug addict that a mental breakdown and couldn't live with the embarrassment of what happened. 😭

Remember Howard's wife learns from Kim what really happened to Howard at the end of this season. So, Howard's legacy is restored. Before anyone says it, it's not a spoiler. Mary is definitely done with this show (since these episodes were recorded back in August).
