I think the Matrix movies really move downhill in a straight linear path. The first one is without a doubt the best, a truly iconic movie that will be remembered for the ages. The second one is really good, a worthy sequel, but can't really compare to the first one. The third one is fine, somewhat of a disappointment but it's watchable and especially when you've already seen 1 and 2, you kinda want to complete the story, so yeah, whatever, Revolutions gets a pass. And of any further sequels that might have been made to ruin the great trilogy, we won't speak a word...

I hope to see all three of the sequels make it to Patreon. There were many naysayers in 2003 and 2021, but I think all four Matrix movies are great. Not equally great (I will grant that the first one is better than the other three), but they are all great.
