The way Samantha Sloyan as Bev is simultaneously hilarious and horrifying when she sees that horror show is nothing short of incredible.

Let me just say this... Mike Flanagan's shows are very deliberate in every word of the dialogue and every scene. You've missed a lot already, from either talking over it, or looking away (like when you missed Riley's mom realizing she didn't need her reading glasses because you were looking away from the screen). If you ever rewatch this show, knowing what you will know after you are done the first time, you will see so much stuff that you missed, or misinterpreted - which I suppose was Flanagan's intent. I've seen so many reactors that start off with a point of view about what is going on and hold on to it so tightly that it takes them way too long to figure out (and accept) what is actually happening.

Honesty I thought the same thing about how easy it is to miss moments in this show but as a reactor it must be tough because she has to talk at some stage and in this show in particular there's so much talking and almost every line is important either to the plot or to give insight into what someone is thinking. And even when there's no talking it's usually a moment of tense build up to something that's about to happen that you don't want to ruin by talking over it.
