Can they stop already with the cliffhangers, please? Haha :D. I loved the Jean-Dark Phoenix storyline.

So I do assume the cure doesn't work 100% or at least just temporary. I do wonder if Mystique would have some feelings of revenge towards Magneto if she were to gain her powers back.

I also wonder... about Xavier? Aah, so many questions! And I feel like with movies like this you never know what will happen with someone (like what happened with Jean). I'd love to see more of him.

I've said it before, but I really like this franchise and can't wait to see what's up next! :)

The Dark Phoenix in the movie isn't the same Dark Phoenix in the comics. It has to do with this powerful force in space taking over Jean Grey. There was a Dark Phoenix saga on the 90's X Men tv show. That was my favorite Saturday morning cartoon I watched when I was little. Some people would consider this sequel the bastard film of the X Men series just on how bad it is. There are still some good stuff in this movie, but it's completely overshadowed by director Brett Ratner who has been accused by different women of sexual harassment and assault including Eliot Page who was Ellen at the time. He plays Kitty in the movie. He said that Ratner outed him in front of everyone on set with a homophonic slur when Eliot hadn't come out publicly yet. The reason Cyclops had a brief role and killed off is because the actor who played Cyclops was working on Superman Returns with Bryan Singer as director. Another director also accused of sexual assault.

If you haven't researched it, yet, the Xavier in the end credits scene isn't Charles, but his twin, who was the brain-dead patient Dr. McTaggart was tending to when Charles was talking about the potential for being able to transfer consciousness. Since they both look alike, this is how they could explain bringing him back in future movies.
