Hi peeps, just a little side message.

(First of all, for Patreon nothing will change. For YouTube maybe, but we shall see how it all plays out).

Lately almost every video I put out has been claimed by the same company. It always happens after I put the video live so if it was before at least I could take the wrong part out and reupload, but no, it happens after, so if I want to avoid it, I'd need to reupload every video after you've already seen it. It's frustrating since I work hard to respect copyright rules by using very short clips and edit them a whole bunch. I'm at the point where I'd like to test out starting a new channel with some of my older videos and see if they get claimed or not. I might make the decision to move over there eventually completely.  It would mean a lot to me if you'd subscribe to that channel and maybe take time to watch videos on there.

This is the channel: hhttps://www.youtube.com/channel/UCm3Qhy7IrJokCALCPsOmElg

And the first video: good old Forrest :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d0OnXn3MjbU&t=2s

I'll update you all soon, right now I'll just keep uploading here as well, so don't worry about that :). Just so you know where my head is at :).

Have a good day,

 Mary

Hi Mari, good idea to check with a second channel. Other reactors do have the same issue and go crazy about the bad system youtube provides. You may want to check this video from a reactor from a day ago. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jEEkHYuoXVc In short, his issue is the claim of music (even 5 seconds) used in his videos. But it gets claimed only after the video is released, and even then only one part get claimed. You fix the one part, reupload, and the next part get claimed, instead everything is claimed at once. Just be aware, that even with the second channel,, you might have to reupload videos several times until it's ok. Or you could try mute the specific parts on the second channel and make a new version for the main channel? I hope youtube someday change it's attitude towards his "clients" and provide a system where such claims can be found before the video get released... But I guess the music industry will not be happy about it. They already built a business on youtubers like you. They just have to claim a video with 5 seconds of their content, and they get all the money, your video makes. That's totally bullshit, but money rules the world....
