It's just crazy to me that Padme wasn't given, you know... something to do. What if, when Anakin complained about how he was ahead of Obi-wan, Padme had a similar relationship with somebody *she* found overbearing? Maybe they would bond over it? And their relationship would make more sense? We could see why she was drawn to Anakin? Because... I just don't understand how Padme looks at Anakin - a whiny, petulant, angsty, arrogant teenager she last saw as a 9 year-old - and sees him as a romantic partner.
