There's a single starfox game that had good and bad endings, and it's universally considered the worst in the franchise. It ruined the potential for future games involving Fox and Krystal both, depositing her permanently in the "forgotten side characters" bin at Nintendo HQ.

Canon or not isn't the point. The point is that the concept you're asking for doesn't work in starfox, and has been irrevocably proven to not work in starfox.

Look, I'm happy that your so passionate in where this story will end up, and I get it, but I would like to see alternate plots, yea you won't like it, it would disturb you, but you don't have to like it, just because someone adds it as a fanfic, or parody, and fanart, doesn't mean it's actually how things are. Rare owns the rights to starfox Commands and I didn't like how it had many endings. But it doesn't mean that I would hold a grudge about it, atleast the voice actress that gave krystal life reassured me that it isn't canon,, so with that, it made me feel better, I appreciate your passion fella, but understand, it's more of a fantasy thing that I would appreciate having to see as I pay the artist on a monthly basis, so atleast my opinions can be heard and/or suggested

I agree it's probably good to end the convo, because it looks like it's getting a bit heated, and Star Fox Command is the last thing anyone should get flustered over haha XD A small correction - Nintendo and Q-Games made Command, but SF series producer Takaya Imamura was the one who wrote the story and did the illustrations for Command. He's... well he's retired now so no worries about him doing anything with the story anymore XD For what it's worth, there's been conflicting interviews with Dylan Cuthbert and Imamura, where they have said only one story ending is canon, then later said non are canon, then said it doesn't matter if it's canon or not... I think overall the game (like SF Zero) is seen as a kind of side story. The real question is if we get a new game, whether they'll continue the story from Assault, or pretend that Zero reset the storyline. I just wanted to play with that idea that Fox and Krystal weren't a couple in Assault, but dated between that game and Command, so this is kind of addressing that 'it would endanger our work relationship... so we're not truly dating, but we adore each other' vibe that those games had.

I'm a massive Star Fox nerd, so I apologize for rambling, but I hope it helps give context to Command and it's absolutely bizarre place in the series. I remember being so disheartened by that game when I played it back in the day. It just feels so mean-spirited lol
