Hi folks!

Bit of a mid week catch-up as to what I've been working on :D

I'm trying to put together a couple of pieces together, primarily Marie Mamiya from Starless and Erza Scarlet from Fairy Tail, as well as a all-Daz model, Acicia. The Acicia ones are on course for publishing on Friday/Saturday, the test renders have come through very nice on that one.

The Marie Mamiya work is proving quite difficult. I cannot find any 3d models to work with and am having to make my own lol. It's really, really hard to mould and form an "almost" human face to suit that of anime characters as a lot of the features of the original just aren't there to begin with - and so when making a face nothing seems right! It's essentially cosplay. I will persevere though - am working with a model that I believe is suitable, I just have to get the eyes right! It's a case of anime eyes are always bight and wide and makes me wonder if I should persevere with shaping the present models eyes or should I go for an eastern type character model.

Let me know - I don't want to screw with your own interpretations of Marie :D I also need to mature the character a bit without going overboard with the ageing - she's MILF after all.

I say just the eyes - that hair style is something else! Am getting there with that too, just need to make the ponytail shorter whilst maintaining a messy, almost chaotic and sharp look. In addition to that I need to put together the instantly recognisable bobble/grip/hairband thing that Marie wears. In fact I think it's that that will tie the whole thing together! Making 3d objects from scratch, here we come! Oh yes, and the beauty spot too!

(in fact, whilst comparing them I find I have in avertedly made wallpapers!)

Erza is in a similar boat only I have not fully started on that yet. Whilst models of Erza are available, they are essentially ripped from game, and are totally anime/drawn style so I'm going to have the same issue when putting a human face together. That one should be a bit easier though - the facial features and hairstyle of Erza have are more commonplace in anime and so should be easier to replicate without screwing with the original too much. That being said I need to graft the tattoo on as well!
