Welcome everyone to October!! 🎃👻

So, anyone who’s been here for a while may already be aware of this, but for anyone who’s not, here’s a little insight into me: October is my absolute favourite month of the year!!

I love the overall shift in mood that happens over this month… everything gets a little chillier, seasons start to turn, it gets dark earlier and, of course, we get Halloween which I really love!! 🎃

However, I also have a little thing of my own around these parts that I celebrate in October: “Otherwise”.

If you’ve never heard of this before… well that makes perfect sense since I came up with it myself about 2 years ago!! 😂

In a nutshell, Otherwise is about embracing things that are different and people who are different, but also about letting yourself be who you want to be.

It’s not a theme for the month's suggestions or anything like that, so this won’t restrict your suggestions in any way beyond the usual rules. (I would say, however, that I often love to steer into Otherwise/Halloween ideas with my concepts around this time of year, but that shouldn’t necessarily affect your suggestions.)

So, I hope you all have a great month, enjoy the overall vibe and really embrace the season!!

This month’s character suggestions:

For anyone new to the Character Suggestion thread, this is where you can make suggestions for who you’d like to see for this coming month!!

These suggestions will then get filtered down for the polls I put together… & sometimes, I might also use them for other things such as inspiration for other images in the month, or sometimes future months!! 😉.

As I mentioned above, I often love to steer into Otherwise/Halloween ideas with my concepts around this time of year, but that shouldn’t necessarily affect your suggestions - I only mention it in case you also have people you’re more inclined to suggest around this time of year. Also, it will generally come down to what feels right to me when I go to do a character, so the concept could still be anything!! 😉

So, have a look through the rules below first (so that you understand the process and how everything works) and then just head on down to the comments below and leave your suggestions for who you’d like to see this month!! 😏

Rules:

• Patrons may suggest one solo and one duo this month.
• I may pick my fave duo character suggestion and use it for one of the month's illustrations, or I may go with my own idea.
• I'll generally pick at least five of my fave solos and create a poll.
• I'll generally pick at least five of my fave duos and create a poll.
• Occasionally, I will add one or more options chosen by me to the solo or duo polls.
• The winning solo/ duo from the polls will be drawn later that month.
• You can draw inspiration from any genre or medium.
• Recently drawn characters are usually less likely to be picked, but you may suggest them.
• If you suggest more than once per category I will simply pick the first one.
• I don’t take suggestions for variants, settings, sexual roles, enhancements etc.
• I don’t draw underage characters. I will draw noticeably aged up possible future versions.
• I don’t draw celebrities, I draw the characters they portray or I fancast them.
• Female character suggestions will be reimagined and redesigned as males.
• I don’t draw scat, vore, gore, extreme violence, unbirthing or bigotry.
• New, Popular or Diverse characters I haven't drawn yet carry more weight with me.
