Linked - Beast Image (Patreon)

This month’s Beast image features Link & Ganondorf (from The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom)!! 😄

I’ve not had the pleasure of playing TotK just yet, but I have seen a lot of the fan art… and let’s just say it seemed like this pair would be a good choice for this month’s Beast pic. 😏

I got a bit creative with this one… I can’t stress enough how much I did not paint the main content of that background… But I did highly edit it to fit the overall look. There were also a lot of patterns, designing and intricate jewellery involved in this one… and another thing that comes up a lot in my line of work: non-human skin colours!! 😅

It might not seem like much, but anyone with unusual skin colours (green, blue etc.) always take a little more fine-tuning. I always want them to come off as realistic as possible, but they are the ones that are more difficult to find references for, so it usually ends up as more of a judgement call on the best tones to pick to make sure the lighting and shadows comes across the way I intended.

That being said, I think I got where I wanted to with this one. As always you’ll have variations with different backgrounds, mess etc. as well as all the usual other stuff!! 😉
