Dean of Finland (Patreon)

The next pic of this month is the Duo Poll winner, Derek Hale & Dean Winchester (from Teen Wolf / Supernatural).

This one (as you could probably guess from the title) is an homage to some classic Tom of Finland pics. I’ve taken inspiration from some different pieces and merged them into this unholy union you see before you… 😜

This pic also signifies me shifting backwards a little in terms of my line work. I’m not sure exactly how obvious it is, but It’s an older technique with a little more emphasis on a comic book style than the one I’ve been doing recently. I’ve also tried a body-hair technique based on Ryan Ottley’s style (of 'Invincible' fame).

I’ve still done the colouring the way I have been doing lately, but with the change in linework I think I’ve managed to recapture a certain fun element I’ve always found in that comic style.

For you Beasts, you’ll find a reasonable amount of variants in there which are, for the most part, me experimenting with different colour/lighting variations to finish off the image. You’ll also find some with ‘X’ in the title which are cropped versions of the images (I felt like there was something to be said for a version more focused in, but wanted to also include full versions).
