December 2021 Beast Project Poll (Patreon)

This poll is for the next project I work on with the monthly Beast Mode exclusive pic. Theme polls may return next month but this month I will be deciding my next project.

I say next, but it may be my last. What I mean by that is my recent “Rated X” mini comic was based on reworking older work. The original was heavily based on Krakoa with inspiration from both dialogue & panels taken directly from several different comics. Originally it was just meant to be an anniversary gift to my patrons while the rework was a gift to my patrons and to myself and also a commitment to myself moving forward.

I did learn a lot and even during the course of reworking “Rated X”, I found that I couldn’t keep up with the changes that are happening with my workflow lately. In part this is because I didn’t start with a firm foundation. I was rushing to write the script, sketch, ink, storyboard & colour the original pages in such a short timeframe while still doing my other Patreon work that I skipped vital steps like character sheets, colour palettes, rewrites etc etc.

So, I would like to attempt one more mini-comic in the format that I was just working on with “Rated X”, working on it from month to month until it’s finished properly.

After that, based on what the experience is like for myself and for patrons, I will review weather or not I want to continue with miniature projects like these, or revert back to a simpler 5th image format.

1. Breaker

This project follows Blare, a breaker who travels across a fantasy world fighting monsters, breaking spells & earning coin. as a cambion, a human incubus hybrid, Blare possesses unique and messy spell breaking abilities. The story is styled in a similar fashion to the Witcher except aggressively homoerotic.

And while a lot of this will feel familiar if over the top, Blare and indeed the world he finds himself in is not entirely what it seems.

2. Edgeways No.1

My original Edgeways project was a sexually graphic, homoerotic version of black mirror. I will be including 2 of those edgeways stories on this list, and until they receive further development I will simply be calling them Edgeways No.1 & Edgeways No.2.

Edgeways No.1 is set in the near future where wearable tech and AR (augmented reality) have become some of the most popular means of consuming media. Our main character is a young man, awkward, shy, with a crush on one of his male friends that he is too frightened to explore. After a new program allows him to recreate an AR version of his crush (that only he can see through his AR glasses he wears everyday), our main character falls into a fictional (and graphic) set of events with his new fictional lover.

But how does this affect his everyday life, his interactions with others and his feelings for his original crush?.. especially when the AR starts behaving unexpectedly. 😏

3. Edgeways No.2

Edgeways No.2 is set in a future where realistic, interactive, touchable holograms are used by sex therapists to help their patients work out their issues, practice techniques, explore bodies without judgement and aid in couples counselling.

The project will focus on one such therapist and hologram as they help a patient deal with his issues, but if I’m happy with the story I will want to expand upon it eventually to include a variety of patients and perhaps other therapists and holograms. After all… people have all sorts of issues, but you can’t harm a hologram, or hurt his feelings. 😉

What problems might some people harbour and what might some people do when left off the hook for their behaviour?

4. Ankhrux

Ankhrux is a sci-fi fantasy world styled after Ancient Egypt & Ancient Greece… an unusual blending of both cultures that masks it’s highly technologically evolved foundation.

Our main character is a sort of gender-bent “Xena: The Warrior princess”, a brooding warrior travelling from place to place fighting science, sorcery and monsters… with sexy results!! 😆

5. The Arcadian

Set in a world that closely resembles Victorian London, The Arcadian sets itself apart from the other options on this list by being a dark, grim, erotic thriller..

We follow a “Sherlock Holmes” style detective and his outrageously himbo companion as they chase a “Jack the Ripper” style villain in a dangerous game of cat & mouse.

This is a story of vice, excess, orgies, sexual manipulation, seduction, crime & murder.

6. Jojo’s Queer Adventure: Battle Tendency

Jonathan, Joseph, Jotoro, Josuke, Gio, Jolyne, Johnny, & Josuke… I love all the Jojos!!

But, while parts 3, 4 and 8 are my favourite stories, Joseph Jostar is one of my all time favourite characters.

Charming, witty, sneaky, manipulative, and the Jojo that introduced us to the Joestar Family Secret Technique, as my only fan art submission onto this list, I would like to work on a homoerotic queer adventure for Joseph Joestar set during his younger years during part 2 (aka Battle Tendency).

I have no details for the story at this time, but it is likely to involve him and Caesar during their training days or against the Pillar Men.

7. No Project

This option is here for you to let me know if you have either no interest in any of the projects listed above or in me pursuing any projects at all. In the event that this option is the winner, I will revert back to creating a fifth monthly image like I used to before I began.
