Figured i needed a new ref. Not really a lot has changed and the character is pretty fluid anyway in regards to clothing. At least in commissions people can generally do whatever they like as long as the overall feeling is still there.

But yes, needed something neutral as the old one was probably from 2018 or 2017? Old, certainly!

Also not really a ref in the typical flat colour reference style, again just not really something i feel is necessary as i don't want people sitting there colour picking this or that exact colour. That's just not important to me. The overall impression is there and from there on i want artists who i commission to put their own spin on it rather than do a 1:1 paint by the numbers deal.

Anyway, enjoooooy!

But do you have a ref sheet showing the precise spotting pattern that we should use?

Nah, precise pattern isn't that important and for commissions specifically i'd always provide further refs for that if needed. The general rule is that the brown is the predominant colour. Black *always* seperates the white from the brown. All 4 limbs are predominantly white towards the end, and more recently with the bathhouse picture i've also decided that i want to carry over the black "shoulder sleeve" on one arm. ( https://www.furaffinity.net/view/42706019/ ) That's basically the rules for the pattern. Beyond that it i don't need people going like "oh no i need 3 white spots here and then a black courvy line here."

I should have included a ;-) with that previous one because I wasn't serious. I think trying to get the precise pattern would just encourage one to either not draw patterned animals or draw them covered in clothes from head to toes. ;-)
