Voted sketch - Exploring plants (Patreon)

So this month's sketch ended up being about something a bit more story focussed about my character. Not with sketches that'll always be a bit limited as i just don't know how to really emulate larger paintings with them, but it still left some avenues to dive into.

Given that he isn't a sailor or anything like that i needed some excuse for him to actually travel on a ship, and so my ideas either were a cartographer or something botanical focussed. Potentially a mix of the two.
But yeah it'll give him a chance to dive into a new ecosystem basically and also gives and excuse for a potential patron to fund the journey. Some businessman looking into new medical avenues or what have you.

At least that is the basic idea of why he'd be up and about across the globe without actually being some marine sailor or something along those lines.

Thank you all for voting for this sketch and letting me explore his world a step further. :) Tried to get a bit more silly with this, just kind of him trying to get a real up-close view of it. It isn't exactly some Mickey Mouse comic, but i the overall feel is a little on the goofy side compared to my usual work!
