Commission for Spots and Noble-2.

Strange commission that one, at least now at the end. Like i think on one hand i'm pretty happy with the result, but also it feels like i'm still so far away of where it could have been as well. Of course most paintings have that feeling to varying degrees, but with this one in particular i'm happy with it but the promise was so much higher at the same time.

And of course no final confirmation given yet, so might change a little between now and the public upload.

Hey nice work as always Nomax. After reading through the post I think it could just have to do with the rule of 3s. It took me a long time to find the 3rd body in the painting so my eyes were just going to the first two and bouncing there. Maybe putting a little light and color on that 3rd person would help flow the viewer out of the painting.

The composition is interesting! Unusual but interesting. It's nice to see you going for experimental stuff like this. What is it that you wish that you could have done differently?

It's kinda hard put into words also since it's affects several areas, but some qualities about the lighting aren't quite where i want them to be. Which then would in turn also affect value structure and composition as a whole probably. I mean there's more that i would like to get better at, but that one in particular is the point i mean with being happy but also seeing so much more potential that i missed to extract.
