Good Morning

I’m up! I’m up! I’m so boring, I know… Another hotel… another blanket… no makeup, no jammies… trying to wake up.

I really appreciate those of you who tolerate my lack of creativity on a daily basis leaving kind remarks and comments. Seriously!

But, the day starts in bed and ends in bed, right? I guess I could skip over the “good morning” posts… I dunno… DM me if you have any strong feelings, great ideas, or meaningful suggestions, etc!

Today, Sasha, Geoni, Josh, and I will do some looking around. Take it easy…

Tomorrow, I’m supposed to meet up with @wendy_we4550 Wendy Wellington. That will be fun!

Any comments about Josh and Geoni? I’m enjoying keeping an eye on that. Seems like it’s more interesting than me wrapped in a blanket!

That said, I'll turn off the camera and get ready for the day. Hopefully, I’ll see you soon in my next diary entry!

Signal Hill

We started the day off with a visit to Signal Hill.

I’m here at Signal Hill in Cape Town, and the view is absolutely stunning! You can see down the coast in the picture of Sasha.

From up here, you get a panoramic view of the city, Table Mountain, and the ocean stretching out endlessly. It’s the perfect spot to just sit back, relax, and take in the beauty of Cape Town.

The sun is perfect, giving a great view of the city and the ocean. We drove up here pretty easily, and now that we're at the top, the panoramic views are incredible. We've been walking around, taking in all the scenery, and snapping some photos.

There's also the historic Noon Gun that fires daily, a tradition since 1806. We’ll be waiting around for that.

If you ever make it to Cape Town, Signal Hill is definitely a must-visit for these gorgeous views and the relaxing atmosphere.

Whether you're into paragliding, picnicking, or just enjoying a peaceful moment, this place has something for everyone. Can't wait to explore more of this stunning city!

Met A Girl

So, here's a little narrative about our visit to Signal Hill from Josh's point of view… We worked on this together for one of his posts…

Josh got out of the rented car, then held the door for Geoni. She scooted across the seat and got out on his side. Josh closed the door behind her once she was out.

They had met on Friday, less than a week before. Since then, it seemed to Josh that time had come to a near stop. The minutes they had spent together seemed like hours.

“Wow, look at this place,” Ailana Geven said as she joined Josh and Geoni on the walkway.

Sasha was approaching from the other direction. “Signal Hill. You can see the whole city from here.”

“Let’s go toward the overlook,” Geoni said.

Josh had been around a lot of different girls and young women between his days in high school and his setting off to be a digital content creator. None of them had so quickly grown to be a part of every waking thought.

None of the girls he had known—those he had dated and those he had not—seemed so easy to be with. There was no drama with Geoni. (Not that Sasha or Ailana bred drama either, but Josh wasn’t… preoccupied with them.) Being with Geoni was easy, comfortable and fun.

The best part about being drawn to her was… she seemed drawn to him, too.

Geoni called to him. “Josh, come over here… Ailana… take our picture.”

Goodnight

Okay, look… The room has a microwave and complementary popcorn. And… YOU know YOU want some! It might not be the kind of image you expect of me for my goodnights, but if you could just smell this room!

Sasha is laughing at me, as she does. She, Geoni, and I are sharing two adjoining rooms. Josh has his own.

Our first day in Cape Town is over, and it was a blast! We took it easy and saw some sights. I hope you caught our pictures from Signal Hill.

I’m still planning to meet up with @wendy_we4550 Wendy Wellington tomorrow. I’ll let you find out what we do when the post comes out!

I’ve said it before, but my diary is, in my opinion, a lot more interesting having Sasha, Geoni, and Josh with me. I know my days and nights are more interesting!

I suppose if I didn’t have a bowl of popcorn in my lap, I could manipulate the camera and let you see Sasha as she stands, ready for bed (in her normal sleeping “outfit”—if you don’t know what that is, let’s just say it takes up literally NO ROOM in her luggage). She’s staring at me like a hungry lioness ready to pounce on my popcorn.

I’ll leave it to your imagination to complete the picture! No picture of that, this time!

Okay, I’m feeling like the gazelle before the gaze of the lion pack, so I better shut off the camera and share the bowl.
