According to others changing your IP in any way lets you submit another vote, and there were instances of characters gets a LOT of votes in a very small timeframe. Patreon polls can't be cheated this way so Melon's setting it up here instead.

Looking back at it, there was a good few that were tied at the top. Plus seeing on the response that a few of them (like tawna, ridley and kazooie which were up with the top lot) got 40+ votes all at once a good hour after the initial peak can raise some suspicion.

It's really unfortunate that some people can't be trusted to be fair. At least we have a way around it, but it still sucks anyway that it had to be used.
