TOP MV/SONGS OF 2024 SO FAR (Jan-May Edition) (Patreon)

I've had a lot of time to let songs do their thing and I feel really good about how the year is shaping up so far. I've updated it to 62 MVs/Performance Videos that I have really enjoyed so far, namely the top 20 / top 25 have all been heavily in my rotation song-wise. Here's a sneak-peak at my rankings :

The way I've been organizing my list is based on 5 factors :

1. SONG /10
2. MV /10
3. CHOREO (or storytelling/message if no choreo) /10
4. IMPACT /10
5. BIAS/FEELING /10 

Bias/Feeling is for if I have a special attachment to a group, or just how I feel about the comeback/debut as a whole. I gave myself rules so I can give an extra 2 points for the first 4 factors if they really knock it out of the park, but /10 max for bias/feeling since that can fluctuate it too much, and it's already kind of bonus points. My S tier songs will naturally receive more than the maximum because they were that damn good.

For example, Chung Ha's "I'm Ready" received a song ranking of 12/10 because I listen to it on repeat, daily, and sonically it's hella my taste. The MV has a perfect rating of 10/10, but since it's a performance video, it's limited in how I can rank it for bonus points. Choreography was a complete package and had me in a chokehold, so I gave it 12/10. For impact, I was in awe at how much work and effort went into it, as well as the impact of her coming back after 2 years and proving she is here to stay, thus giving her a rating of 12/10. Chung Ha is my ultimate bias, and I am just so proud as a fan, and as an artist, so I gave her maximum bias/feeling points of 10/10 for a total of 56/50. 

I'm doing this list pre-emptively because I just KNOW SKZ, ATEEZ, Dreamcatcher and XG are going to fuck up this list heavy LOL. I'll update it as soon as more major changes occur, but hopefully you enjoy the music showcased in this list, and let me know your favourites for the year!
