K-POP 2024 Favourites (MARCH Update PLAYLIST) (Patreon)

Rather than including songs I wasn't vibing with and ranking EVERY SINGLE MV like I was in one of my now deleted posts, (shoutout to y'all who saw it and didn't unsubscribe LOL) I wanted to share with my patrons what my list is looking like for next year with everything on my rotation!

I want to be more proactive with this so I'm ready for next year's. Plus it's like early access to my 2024 list LOL. Sorry to disappoint my boy group stans, it's looking like a female dominated year so far...granted I haven't checked out more lowkey groups and we still haven't heard too much from ateez, stray kids, nct and my usual list killers so far, so we'll have to see how Q2-4 will be! Top 3 will be difficult to break, but those 3 are definitely staying close to home.

List with my usual rules (only one from each artist, korean releases only for korean groups, etc) :

1. ITZY 'Born To Be' -- everything I love about Itzy in one video. the song is impactful, fun, powerful, and the video is top notch and perfect. It reassured me that I'm a MIDZY. Yes it came out Dec.17th. I don't care. It is 2024 for me LOL. I regret not putting Halazia on my list last year, and I consider December releases for 2024. Don't @ me!!!

2. LE SSERAFIM 'Easy' -- easily the biggest earworms for me this year so far. performance is phenomenal. I love the hip-hop style, and unlike some people, I LOVE the auto-tune flare they add to it. It's giving me modern hip-hop and RnB that I as a dancer cannot ignore. They look amazing and it officially made me a FEARNOT.

3. NMIXX 'Dash' -- Similar to the others above, I am officially an NSWER with the three releases this year from them (I include sonar for 2024.) JYP artists have just been KILLING it for me. This song takes you places and their vocal abilities really shine while still showing off their powerful dance and charisma. Still an earworm, just not as musically my taste as the top 2. So much variety in this one too, and easily their best change-up.

4. (G)I-DLE 'Super Lady' -- TOO ICONIC to not include here. I was considering it as 3rd, but the song just doesn't hit for me as much as the performance and mv do. I do need the MV to accompany this song. This is such a statement piece and it shocks me to my core. Once again, I am claiming it made me an (aspiring) NEVERLAND.

5. IU 'Love wins all' -- This hit all the feels that I ever had. I can't even watch reaction videos because it hurts me too much lol. the song is gorgeous, backed by the most beautiful mv I've seen in a long time, maybe ever??? the acting. the chemistry. this is legendary status. 

6. TEN 'Nightwalker' -- An artist in his bag. I am obsessed with this comeback and the journey it takes you on. All the elements it adds in the finale of the song makes this legendary and I will always go back to this one. Ten is such a unique performer and I love his creative touch on everything. You can tell feel his authenticity, which is something I value the most in an artist.

7. P1Harmony 'Killin' It' -- this one took me by surprise...for some reason? It made me realize I've been sleeping on P1Harmony..these guys are not only phenomenal performers, but they make GOOD ASS MUSIC!!!! What a stunning MV full of personality and the song hits all the elements I love. This one is staying in my top 15 for sure. Maybe top 10. We'll have to see.

8. TWICE 'One Spark' -- Twice doing what they do best, with an elevated and mature concept. I love them for this. It doesn't have to be out of the ordinary for me to love their music and videos. It's perfect just the way it is, just like they're perfect the way they are. That's not to say this mv and song doesn't push the boundaries, though! They gave their everything for this one, and I couldn't be more pleased as a ONCE. It feels wrong to be this low, just from how much I've been listening to this and how smitten I am for them LOL, but I just can't deny the power of the top 7.

9. ATEEZ 'IT's You' -- Pardon my language, but this is fucking awesome. They are soooooooooooo good at this sexier style, and the RnB is RnBing. This unit deserves all the praise. It is sexy, yet classy, yet in your face, yet beautiful. I love it. I'm sure their title tracks this year will blow this one out of the water from their sheer performance value, but this one will stay in my playlist for years and years to come.

10. Riize 'Love 119' -- RIIZE HITS ALL THE MARKS FOR ME WITH THIS ONE! The MV is conceptual, and we get to see their acting with this one. The song is catchy, yet emotional. Their dance as always slays and this is probably my favourite song from them...although Memories has been creeping up my list more and more I listen to it. Can't wait for their next one.
