Hinata hit the ball with his eyes open! —— Another fun fact: If they score from the serve, that player gets to keep serving. Some of the best have scored 10+ points in a row just from serving. —— “Did you just make fun of Jesus?!” made me laugh so hard 😂😂 —— Kageyama’s middle school team left him hanging towards like the beginning of the game and it did directly cost them that set but they thought without him they could still win the game. They genuinely thought they were losing because of him. If they can’t spike his crazy tosses then the point immediately goes to the other team. That’s why he ended up getting benched for the rest of the game. They eventually lost, but in their own ways both the team and lageyama did what they did thinking it would lead to the team’s victory. —— What an epic introduction to Nishinoya! —— Yes, I love the actual volleyball games but I love the usual character and team building just as much. I think it’s nice to break it up like this, like David said, it makes you anticipate the next game. And if it was all volleyball it could get tiring or repetitive to watch over and over again just as if it was all character building. There needs to be a balance and I think Haikyuu does a pretty good job of that.

The thing with this show is, you may think that because it's a sports anime it can't get any more exciting than what you've already seen, WRONG! this is just the beginning, and every team they have to face will be a different type of difficult. In some episodes you'll also realize they do have one particular team/rival everyone (EVERYONE) is expecting to face and that's kinda like the "final battle" of the manga (and the anime). All the other upcoming battles will have us crying screaming throwing up and asking ourselves "will they be able to compete with THAT rival team??" I'd say it's easier to get hooked on a show or an anime when there's something to look forward to, like facing off the ultimate rival/villain on most animes. We're getting there!
