Can't believe it's already been a week since the last reaction😳 So excited😍 The way you pronounced my last name the first time is actually pretty close to the way you pronounce it in Swedish, so it wasn’t completely wrong😊 But it was a little weird hearing you say it like that cause I’ve gotten used to when you pronounce it the “English“ way. I was also team Stefan but I think more just for the character than love story-wise with Elena. I was always more drawn to Stefan than Damon but I can’t but my finger on why. I never actually finished TVD but I’ve seen clips from the seasons that I haven’t watched so I still kind of know how the series ends😅 I know that my comment from last episode was still kind of long, but considering how crazy I can get with some of my comments (I tend to ramble and that results in really long comments) that was still pretty short and concise! But I’m gonna take a guess and say this is gonna be a long one… Since you both seem to like/enjoy traditional Korean music (or traditional music in general) I’ll look up some that I like and suggest it😊 There are so many good songs that are either fully traditional or more fusion style. Song So-hee is one of my favourites cause her voice is just magical. I can’t remember if you’ve checked it out but she is the singer that did the traditional/pansori version of Spring Day (for the show Immortal songs 2, it was a Pdogg special). That cover gives me goosebumps every time!! ————————————————————————————— If you noticed Lee Rang’s eyes when he compelled the fake dad (That Yu-ri was their real daughter) then you saw that only one of his eyes glowed (the left eye) and the other stayed normal. This means that he is only half fox, cause if he was a full fox then both eyes would glow (like Lee Yeon’s). Last episode it was mentioned that they are half brothers, so that means that the parent they share is a fox but Lee Rang’s other parent is a human while Lee Yeon has two foxes. To be honest I don’t completely remember their family dynamic, but I think it will be explained later on. Another thing about his eyes is that if you remember when he shape-shifted into the student, during the scene in the bus only one of the eyes glowed and not both. So for those that have seen the show before it’s a fun little telling detail. But he is not the only half fox in this world, so having only one eye glow wouldn’t necessarily mean that it’s him😊 ————————————————————————————— I agree with you 100%!! Lee Rang must have looked up to and loved Lee Yeon very much for him to hold on to this resentment for centuries. This is still not all of their backstory but to see the happiness and relief in his face when he finally saw Lee Yeon alive again was just heartbreaking cause I knew what was about to happen. The betrayal he felt at that moment kept growing and he never let it go. Not all wounds are physical and if you don’t treat it, it will fester or turn into a scar on you soul… ————————————————————————————— I forgot how creepy those child ghosts were!!! I would be so terrified if I was hunted down with no where to escape! ————————————————————————————— I tried to do some quick research into the Korean depiction of hell but the mythology on that was way too complicated. It’s a mix of Buddhism, Taoism as some other stuff that I can’t remember. Some sources said that it was up to 1000 different levels, another said that it was later reduced down to 18 and some other stated it was 7. None really matched with what was shown here so I think they might have done some small changes but I can’t say for certain. Tho some sources mentioned “The hill of knives” and “The hell of ice glacier”. These are the two I think are being depicted in this episode (in the drama they are called ice mountain and knife mountain). In the source I read, which also was the easiest to understand😅, The hell of ice glacier is the third stage of hell and The hill of knives is the first hell. In Lee Yeon’s sentencing it was mentioned that he was supposed to go to the first hell (The hill of knifes) but because he had helped a lot of people he got a lighter sentence. The mythology says that in the first hell you were judged if you had committed murder. Since he got punished because he killed the shaman going to the first hell would make sense. When he sensed that Ji-ah was in danger he wanted to change his sentence back to the original one, that way he could get out right away as long as he crossed the bridge. Otherwise he had to wait out the full 7 days and by then it would be too late. ————————————————————————————— Imugi, the snake, has only been lightly introduced and remember we are only on episode 4 so far. A lot more is gonna happen… So you haven’t missed anything yet in that aspect, don’t worry, it will all make sense later on. It seems like the talismans that where stuck on the baby is to protect it from detection. This way no one will know that it exists/has been brought back. ————————————————————————————— It has been revealed that she does indeed have the fox bead and is the reincarnation of Ah-eum, but I guess we all knew that already😂 Wouldn’t make a great story if she wasn’t. I still don’t really understand what it was that made the bead undetectable but this is my theory🤔. When Lee Yeon gave the bead to Ah-eum he was crying and not wanting her to leave. The bead is now with Ah-eum’s reincarnation so for it to be seen, the person with the bead has to be in a similar situation/mindset like when he gave the bead to Ah-eum. This time Ji-ah was crying and didn’t want Lee Yeon to die/leave. The tear that dropped unlocked whatever was keeping the bead hidden. I don’t know if this makes any sense or if someone else has an easier explanation, and I can't remember if it will be explained in the next episode why the beed wouldn't show itself until now. ————————————————————————————— I’m gonna stop this comment here cause it is already way too long, sorry guys😅

I don’t really wanna comment anything story-related rn, maybe I’ll edit my comment after I organize my thoughts a bit or maybe I won’t lol. All I can say is my god rewatching this has reawakened my crush on Jo Boah (female main character‘s actress) massively. 🤭 Even when Lee Dongwook is on screen, I can’t help staring at her instead HAHA! I first saw her in the 2012 drama Shut Up Flower Boy Band and I've liked her ever since. I’m in a lot of pain at the moment (I get really bad period cramps) and this made me forget about it a bit since I’ve been looking forward to this episodes reaction, thanks guys :D Anyways love the way you’re always reading and acting out my comments with so much enthusiasm, makes me laugh every time! 😂 Glad I could help you understand the story a bit better as well. In case you like the OST that plays in the outro, it’s I’ll Be There by Shownu from Monsta X, I personally love the song! Btw Kevin, Riverdale is now over and can you believe that I’ve sat through the whole thing except for the last 5 episodes? It’s such a shitshow but weirdly entertaining 😂😂😂 Now David, regarding Pretty Little Liars, I’ve watched the whole show and love it but be ready to commit to 7 seasons of craziness if you ever actually react to it! 😂

Glad I'm not the only one that suffers from horrible period cramps (weirdly comforting🥰😂). Woke up last night at like 1 a.m and the pain was so intense that I almost threw up! Ibuprofen/paracetamol and a heating pad are my best friends during this time.

That sucks! My cramps are so bad especially during the beginning of my period they impact my daily life. Usually I can barely leave my bed for at least a day or two and I just cry from the pain lol. I feel like throwing up a lot too. I actually suspect I might have endometriosis but I don't have a diagnosis, I might have to look into it more. This time I'm all out of pain meds so the first thing I did was order some and I'm waiting for them to arrive later today 😅 I recommend trying Naproxen, it works well for me, maybe it helps you too! I don't have any tea either so I just drank hot water 🗿 hot-water bottles can be real lifesavers for me as well! LOL sorry for the TMI but I also feel comforted when I meet a fellow period cramp sufferer 😂 Btw we're pretty much neighbors if I understood correctly you're from Sweden, since I'm from Germany. I hope you feel better soon Ida 🫶🏻

I’ve never heard of Naproxen before but I might have to try it out sometime😊 Usually I start to get cramps 1-2 days before I get my period and then 1-3 days during my period, the worst being at the start. You should really check it out if you suspect that you have endometriosis and see if there is any help that you can get❤️ Hello neighbor👋🏻 My maternal grandpa is actually from Germany so maybe we are distant relatives😂

sorry for writing a looooooooooong comment ok here i go first thing first if you guys decide to watch doctor who that will be super awesome. I would love to rewatch it with you guys. About TVD, funny thing is that i watched vampire diaries under peer pressure from my friends and all of them were team Stefan. Thats why, automatically I also became team Stefan. Have you watched Naruto? This is one of my favorite anime. David, the scene you are mentioning with the clones for Naruto, is the multiple shadow clone technique which Naruto masters in a very short time and is one of his special techniques. The nine tailed fox version, is when Naruto unleashes the nine tailed fox trapped inside him and he becomes too powerful, because the nine tailed fox takes over Naruto's body and being the strongest beast, no one can defeat Naruto in that state. I think here also when Lee Don wook unleashes the nine tailed power, no one can defeat him. this episode was an emotional roller coaster - it have comedy, lee yeon's good looks, mystery, lee yeon's good looks, romantic moments, lee yeon's good looks and horror. I just can't understand how Lee dong wook looks so good all the time, be it the modern version, or the historical version with long hair or when he was getting the hell punishment. About Lee Rang, I have a feeling that Lee Yeon, did spare his life and didn't strike him to kill, however the shady person that comes later made him believe that he is the one who saved Lee Rang from death. I feel there is a lot of misunderstanding in Lee Rang's mind thats why he hates Lee Yeon so much. I can understand where he is coming from though. Lee Yeon abandoned the mountain for his love causing the humans to burn the mountain. Of course Lee Rang hates all humans and wanted revenge. He was so happy when he saw Lee Yeon after a long time however it was very sad when he was hit with the sword. The grandma seems suspicious. She keeps so many secrets from Lee Yeon. My guess is that the fox bead was also blocked by her and thats why he couldn't find her in the previous lifetimes. However I am confused why now though. Why Lee Rang is also targeting Ah eum and telling Lee Yeon that he would not be able to save her. Maybe something related to the Imugi, not sure. The baby at the end with all those talismans is so ominous. I am still trying to understand who is the real villain here. The doctor and the rich fox girl, I also ship them. It will be fun to watch if they have a side love story. The tale of the puppy and the fox. It's kind of funny how Ah eum is acting all tough and brave but Lee yeon left her for one day and she almost got herself killed. When the whole montage played on how many times Lee Yeon saved her, I was like, she is kind of a problem for Lee Yeon and he should not mix up with her. I am siding with Lee Rang. Lee Yeon should go to him and take him to the mountain and live there, trying to make him a better person. I totally agree with what Kevin said about the demons. I also believe when people see their loved ones or some friendly ghosts, its the demon trying to lure them. I would also like to suggest you guys to watch the movie Along with the gods. It is a Korean movie with the whole after life, judgement and hell. It is a fun movie to watch.

A friend recommended Naproxen to me a few years ago, definitely give it a try! It‘s pretty much the same for me, cramps start shortly before my period and last for about 3 days during. I’ll definitely look into it more soon and see if anything can be done to help with the pain! Haha maybe we’re related on my dad‘s side of the family then, he’s my German parent 😂 (my mom is from France)

@David, Stelena and Delena aren’t new characters haha. It’s ship names. Stefan+Elena = Stelana. Damon+Elena = Delena. And I feel you David. I felt so bad for Stefan 🥺. Actually from S4 or so I actually kinda got a bit annoyed with Elena tbh. She was so whiny lol. 🙉🙈🙊 It happened to my friend too haha. Anyways I finished all 8 season. I started watching this in 10th grade and S4 was ongoing. So I watched all 3 seasons at once and then had to wait and watch the rest 5 seasons. So I started in 2012 and watched till the end till 2016. Idk how I did it because now I can’t finsih 16 episodes ongoing dramas with just a week wait lol. I hope you get to watch it till end 🫶🏻 If Liz has watched it then I think you’ll finish it too with her. Oh also most of my friends were team Damon too. Must be the blue eyes lol. But idk I’ve always been team Stefan. And it’s kinda the first time I’m encouraging so many team Stefans including you, and Ida and Mimosa ahead. I’m curious tho have you guys watched the ABC drama “Lost”? —- Also I agree with you guys and think Lee dongwook purposefully didn’t kill his bro cuz he is skilled at this point. And I guess then the other guy saved him idk? —- @david the Toy Story thing was she asked him his fav movie and he said Toy Story 3 I think. But wow. It’s interesting what you said. —- Gosh the second part with the kid ghosts was so freaky and scary. I ain’t got with horror stuffs. I don’t watch horror movies cuz I’m afraid I’ll get afraid and then this 🥺🤧 —- Also what dongwook said that if you see them they see you too. It reminds me of this WEBTOON I’d read couple years ago called “Ghost Wife”. That also has similar story. Like there was this ghost who used to be like a mountain god. But someone he liked dies and he waits for her. And one day she’s reincarnated and when she grows up she one day ends up locking eyes with him. But since she saw him now the whole other world opens up to her. And he has to stay to protect her cuz now she sees other ghosts and other ghosts sees her and tries to kill her cuz she’s marked as his wife and now she’s smells tasty to other ghost and killing her will grant them power. —- Btw the song that played in the end of the Ep, I really loved it the first time around. It’s by Shownu from MonstaX. It’s called “I’ll be there”. And listening to it again I think I’ll be stuck on this again now. —- Sorry for the long comment tho!~ ㅠㅠ

Wow that was great! TBH I do not have much to add to the hell storyline but I have seen other shows that depict it as different levels but there are so many religious practices in korea that there is always something different shown. But even in Goblin I feel like he was punished in an endless desert or something, so I just take it as it comes tbh. I also agree that I ship the russian wolf and the vet together. Love me a little toxic side couple lol. Another thing I love about the show is the little brother. I love it when shows have the "villain" have dynamic storyline. I don't hate him just because he is the "bad" guy. I see his POV tbh. I definetly would not go on a killing spree I felt betrayed by my brother, but the added factor of the village burning down the mountain and killing his puppy (I totally forgot about the puppy storyline before this episode) makes you sympathize with him a LOT more. I can't be too mad at him. I am glad they brought up the talisman in this episode. In my last comment I said that I did not know why they were using the talisman when it is used to ward off bad energy but they mention why in this episode. When Lee yeon leaves after talking to granny about Imugi, she says "How come I can't see, are they using a talisman?" So the yellow post-it notes (talisman) are being used to hide the baby from her sight. That is why she is not able to tell about the ritual and the fact that they are hiding the baby right underneath her nose. Thank you for the well wishes. So glad i managed to catch up with you pretty early on in this drama. Love Doctor Who! It’s a bit old and long tho. It started again in 2005 and is still ongoing although I haven’t watched since 2017. I would recommend Sherlock instead but the episodes are really long from what I remember. And I’m with Liz on this one. I was Team Damon too and yes it is definitely because Ian is so handsome 😂 I mean so is Paul but my high school self just liked Ian more I guess. But then I went to college and never ended up finishing the show. David if you like klaus are you going to watch the originals too? Also if you ever want to watch more anime you should watch Haikyuu. Not as gruesome as AOT and an entire genre shift into the world of sports animes. Very wholesome and very engaging. About the actual show now — Honestly love this brother dynamic. It’s typical sibling relationship where you love each other but will still fight. It’s just there’s slightly higher stakes for these two lol Also idk if you noticed but in the scene in episode 3 where they were fighting in the forest after Ji Ah gets hammered, Rang gets mad when Yeon turns to leave with Ji Ah. This is because he probably feels like Yeon is abandoning him for her again. This very complex brother dynamic is probably why they decided to focus the 2nd season on the two brothers. That’s all I’ll say about that so not to spoil it if you do end up watching it. AND I had to stop watching cause it’s the middle of the night and the scene with the funeral children was going to scare the shit out me lol. I’ll finish watching this tomorrow!
