Oh, hey Kevin, I am a really big fan of Percy Jackson too and it has been I while since I read the books. Percy Jackson was one of the books that got me interested in Greek gods. I love reading mythology stuff. After that, I read "The Heroes of Olympus". I don't know if you have read that, it has Greek and Roman gods. These books were the first ones that I have read a full series of. And now for the video, here are some things you guys may have missed. For the Devil's fruit powers, no fruit is the same. Each fruit has its own ability. When a person eats one, they lose not only the ability to swim in seawater but seawater also drains their strength. That is why Luffy could not swim up (In the anime it was said that he was a great swimmer before he ate the fruit). It's kind of funny being a pirate but not being able to swim while being surrounded by seawater. I think, this season only covers about 45 episodes of the anime. And the monster or sea creature that comes out is known as a sea beast. There are many wired species in one piece, in the sea and on land too. Fun Fact: The snail is known as "Den Den Mushi". Den Den Mushi are a species of telepathic snail that serves as a means of vocal and/or visual communication across the world.

Luffy, in manga, can’t swim. He was going to learn how to swim but then he ate the devil fruit. I think in anime ep 1029, it shows Luffy not being able to swim even before meeting Shanks.

My name is pronounced Pretty ka, so you’re close Kevin. Finally Buggy D. Clown, the future pirate king himself!!! I was so glad they kept tiny Buggy in. They had to cut lots in this episode, but they scattered easter eggs to make up for it. For example, the guy with the direction board for the crowd is called Mahji and he has a lion named Richie. Since they had to cut the lion out, Buggy asks Mahji about the dancing lion and you can also see Richie’s portrait on the background during Zoro and Cabaji’s scene. There is also a dog named Chouchou who protects its owner’s store (the story is based on Hachiko the dog), and you can see a dog at the end of the episode. There is this thing called Reverie (based on one of the arcs of OP) where One Piece youtubers come together every 6 months/ a year to discuss things happening in manga. Matt Owens who is one of the showrunners came during the reverie and shared the story of how he met Oda and got green light for the live action. Matt since then has been interacting and integrating himself into OP youtube communities as he is a huge fan himself. Emily Rudd who plays Nami is also a huge fan of OP. Matt made all the characters read/watch OP before shooting. The latest episode 1074 and chapter 1091 were released last week. And yes, I read/watch OP every week when released 😅. Also the snail transponder aka Den den mushi is cute af lol. FYI the snail transponder transforms itself to whoever is talking on the line and mimics the expressions as well 😂

Also a small change in this show Shanks carries Griffin (his sword) in his left. But in manga/anime Shanks carries Griffin on his right as he is left- handed. And he lost his left arm which is his dominant arm to save Luffy. Sorry for the long comment. As you can tell I love One Piece ☺️

I watched this when you had first posted it on Monday but am now gonna put my thoughts on here lol, it's already been a rough week for me (it's only the beginning too) but I was looking forward to this, I needed something positive. Kevin I am down for watching Percy Jackson series with ya, I genuinely forgot about that same with the new Avatar series, I think David would like it maybe it's all about Greek mythology really. I'm so glad other people could explain about the water thing and devil fruit, because I didn't wanna explain it lol. So, in this season they really only touch on a couple of big plots in the anime, that's why I'm hoping they do multiple seasons though, this is the farthest I really got in the anime is what is shown in the show. They really did cut out some little things though, now that I'm rewatching the anime. There are some things in the show that I didn't know about in the anime really like certain characters, but I won't spoil the show or the reveal. Also! the episodes for the anime is only like 20ish to 30ish minutes long too, and from what I know only like BIG animes have so many episodes like naruto, bleach, I think fairy tail too? Idk there's so many out there lol. Can't wait for the next reaction!

I'm so glad that your enjoying the show , I my self was holding back on watching it sense I'm only on episode 60 on the anime , but I'm glad I gave it a chance , and I'm enjoying every minute. Yess I'm so ready for Percy Jackson the books are really good , and I would love to watch it you , I hope David gives it chance I'm pretty sure he'll enjoy it ,, well can't wait till next episodes reactions. It's funny that Kevin mentions that the name of buggy's tank is very "flashy" for just a tank because in the manga/anime Buggy's whole thing is that he's "flashy", it's built into his catchphrase and he says he's gonna kill luffy "flashily" and stuff, love that the original character personalities come across without it having to be explicitly said. Love the reactions so far!
