Hey guys...hope you are doing well. Well, yes...I am very passionate about the manhwa bc the story is so well written. You asked for a time frame. The manhwa started in 2020 in Korea. The drama was released in early 2022. Two years...a long time in between...you could think that. But the plot they used for the drama is only up to chapter 35...38 max. These chapters were released in September 2021. We are at chapter 81 at the moment. And no...still no declaration of love on Sangwoo's or Jaeyoung's side...or any modification to move forward to being boyfriends. It's more a friendship plus thing...they call it "taking care of each others urges". Hope that helped. You had so many questions 😅...Will try to answer them all. I love watching and reading BL...not bc of a kink...but the storylines are way better. An advanced BL...well...the kissing scenes and the intercourse scenes are way more explicit...without showing anything of course but at the moment there seems to be a competition. The hotter the kissing scenes...the more skin is showing...the riskier their hand placements during those scenes are...the more success is guaranteed. Unfortunately the plot is secondary in the newer BL series. The excavator thing. He has a passion for excavators. As a kid he was very excited about his excavator toy...he held it dear. I can't remember seeing it in the drama but these feelings he had as a kid, are what he is comparing his feelings, for Jaeyoung, to now. The mixed signals Jaeyoung is sending...Kevin got it. But there is a bit more. He never mentions to Sangwoo what he really wants from him. He is very much in his head...he has a great understanding of how Sangwoo thinks and where they stand in this relationship...and that's the dangerous part...Jaeyoung never talks to Sangwoo about it, bc he thinks he already has all the answers. But that talk could really help Sangwoo to understand what he is trying to figure out so bad on his own. That's why in chapter 81 of the manhwa...still no conclusion to their relationship. You see...there is so much more to them and how their story evolves. But for the drama...especially this episode. This is the first episode that was the closest to the manhwa. With this episode they did a great job. By the way...Sangwoo gets a boner...that's why he wants to know in advance when Jaeyoung wants to touch him. Okay guys...I hope I didn't miss anything. One thing I love about Jaeyoung is that after Sangwoo tells him not to touch him without asking first he always is seen just holding something else like his backpack or sleeve but not actually touching him without permission.

I hope you don't get discouraged with the comparisons to the manhwa ,, it's very different to the series so I would choose to just kinda see them as separate pieces (?) , also the story just keeps getting better I can't wait for ur next reactions I'm so excited for this !!!!!!!! also if you do end up enjoying the whole series I hope we rubys can suggest for some of the promotional stuff they did for it !!!

I wound up binge-reading the entire Semantic Error webtoon this past week because I was so curious about how it differs to the show. It's definitely spicier haha but I think the show is so cute and I really like both of them!

the main reason i prefer the manhwa is because of the pacing, with a webtoon with alot of chapters (ongoing), there is so much time to explore your characters. Sangwoo has been so used to the same thing and suddenly changing would realistically take a bit longer to get used to for a guy like him. But in a very short show, it just felt a tad bit rushed. As someone else said, in the latest chapter, the two main guys aren't even officially together yet, just cough, experimenting. Also, since no one else ever adresses it. The scene where Sangwoo kisses Jaeyoung.... First of all, not okay at all because you don't do stuff to someone who is literally sleeping. Second of all that just felt a bit out of character. When watching this show I just decided to forget that scene as a whole and proceed.

of course kissing someone who is asleep is not okay. I do think sangwoo doing it could be read as he likes jaeyoung so much that it makes him do things he'd never usually do. Like Jaeyoung brings out this side of him which is exactly why it scares him, since it's 'out of his control'. Cause that's why he doesnt believe in love, it's an emotion you can't really control.
