just a quick comment on their heights- the tall one is 193cm and the shorter one is 177 (around 6'3 and 5'8 if I did my math correct), both of them are indeed idols, Seoham(tall dude)is in KNK and Jaechan(shorter dude) is in DKZ

Hey guys... Happy pride month 🏳️‍🌈 Weeeeeeeell...Semantic Error...it really won the poll. When I saw the hype about Semantic Error, I was genuinely surprised. Bc there are so many great BLs out there...with more plot and substance 🙈...oh my...pls, don't kill me in the comments. It is a cute, nice BL, for a little fun but pls don't wait for crazy character development or a crazy plot twist. The thing is...I read the manhwa first. The manhwa is a masterpiece and IT IS STILL ONGOING. So they just jumped the bandwagon and thought...alright we take the first few finished chapters and we create our own story out of these unfinished crumbs, the manhwa was providing at that time. Some unique character traits are just not included in the BL...same goes for the looks. These characters are so dear to me, that I kinda felt insulted when the BL came out AND got this much attention. Like I said, the manhwa is still ongoing and their relationship is still not fully resolved. So...conclusion...standing alone...a cutesy BL...as an adaptation...total fail. But it fits pride month...and I think it is a good BL for beginners to just dive in the BL world softly. Thai BLs are the way to go for me but these are more...let's say...advanced. Anyways...love you guys 💜💜

I get what you mean though! I liked the suggestion bc I thought it would be a good one to start esp since they’ve watched a lot of K dramas. One of my fav BL’s is ofc KinnPorsche but I thought that would be A LOT lmao. Thai & Taiwanese BL’s have a lot of…spice I would say. But there are ofc many good Korean & Japanese ones.

I've never watched a BL... I think this might be my first and since I haven't watched this, I'm going in blind with you guys. The 1st ep was interesting tho!

I said that as well...a good BL to dive in softly. But yeah...I will still watch it with them...bc I like to see their reaction. But Semantic Error as an adaptation can never live up to the hype it got.

Ohhh I feel you, I had a big issue completing Sweet Home kdrama. I read the webtoon first which is one of my absolute favs! But the kdrama had some major character changes. The kdrama is good ok, and if you watch it without reading the webtoon I don't think they'll be complaints... but since I had read the webtoon first, there were some amazing characters there who got ruined in the kdrama :( I finished it with so much difficulty. Like I stopped at 8th ep (out of 10) and finished the last 2 eps after 1+ years. Lol

Yeah...same...I just watched the BL bc a friend of mine was so excited and said it was sooooo good. I asked her if she read the manhwa and she was like...there is a manhwa? I almost had a stroke. I watched it and it was so disappointing 🙈

Finally you guys did thanks, even I thought in my culture is not allowed to watch boys love but i'm open mind, semantic error is one of my favorite korean bl drama along with Where Your Eyes Linger.

If I remember correctly Jaechan’s label, Dongyo Entertainment, advised against him accepting the role cause they were scared it would hurt his and the group’s reputation. Korea is still a very traditional country so their acceptance towards LGBTQ is very limited and since he was and still is an active idol there were some risks with acting in a BL. But he still accepted the role cause he saw it as an opportunity and we are very glad that he did. This role helped him and his group gain more recognition all over the world and increased their album sales and popularity. If I got anything wrong then PLEASE correct me (I might have confused it with someone else)!!! Don’t wanna spread any misinformation😬 They actually won an best couple award for this drama, which I find very surprising since it’s a BL couple. This rarely happens but it just shows how popular the drama was. BL’s in Korea have very short episodes and not the same budget as all the other kdramas. It has gotten a lot better and we are getting a lot of BL’s from korea lately, and with more famous actors/idols. But the episode are still very short and not that many😢 Park Seoham was apart of the idol group KNK from 2016 up until 2021 when he left the group. So having two idols as the main leads in a BL (even tho Seoham was no longer an active idol) was a first for me. He is currently serving in the military.

So excited!! I hope you enjoy! I love this bl. I have other favs but this one is pretty iconic. I hope this leads to more bl shows in the future! There are soo many amazing ones!!

Just to clarify for y'all, Jaeyoung WAS a Freeloader in Sangwoo's group. Jaeyoung literally never went to class or came to the group meetings so that is why Sangwoo and he didn't know what each other looked like lmao.
