So excited for this😍 This will probably be a little different from what you've reacted to before in type of content style, the closest might be In the SOOP or Bon Voyage (more chill docu style). But it seems like you enjoyed it and I hope you end up watching all the episodes😊 Okay a little more backstory. So Jinny’s Kitchen is a spin-off from Youn’s Kitchen and Youn’s Stay (a rebrand of Youn's kitchen where they ran a guesthouse for foreigners instead of a restaurant). They reference back to these shows when they talk about their earlier experiences. One example is when Seo-joon said to Tae that back in his days they used knives and not a grater. He didn’t mean literally back when he was young but instead back to Youn’s Kitchen/Stay. You seemed a little confused when they had conversations like this so that is why I am mentioning it😊 Lee Seo-jin and Yu-mi has been apart of these shows since the beginning. Seo-jin was not the boss for these shows but instead it was the veteran actress Youn Yuh-jung. Seo-jin has now been promoted to the boss with his own series. Seo-joon joined for the second season of Youn’s kitchen and was also in Youn’s stay. Woo-shik was not apart of Youn’s Kitchen but joined for Youn’s stay. If I remember correctly he barely cooked or if any at all. So he has the least experience apart from Tae. All of these shows were produced by Na PD so that is why he is there😊 This also explains their great chemistry cause they have worked together before in a similar setting. And Tae blends in since he is good friends with Seo-joon and Woo-shik plus he has met Yu-mi a couple of times before. But I think he would have done great either way.

I wouldn’t go as far to say I’m a bts fan but I do love Na PD’s shows which is the main reason I’m watching this with y’all. I hope you continue!! I think they try to go to lesser known areas that doesn’t already have Korean food places so it’s more authentically “introducing Korean food.” Fun fact: Seo Jin has a business management degree from NYU and I think he actually works in finance and was/is the director of like an asset management firm. I just love their relationship so much and how real the show is. It feels exactly like how a restaurant run by a group of friends or siblings would feel like.
