Mali

The other man in Yoojung‘s “begin” MV is fellow OnlyOneOf member KB, his song “be free” and its MV also follow the same storyline. Junji’s song “be mine” has already been released as part 1 of the second pairing. OnlyOneOf are so amazing and truly artistic, definitely check them out more. Super Junior’s “Devil” is missing Shindong and former member Sungmin because they were enlisted during that time. Superband is a talent show produced by JTBC in 2019 where indie musicians (many already well known like Kevin Oh, Mellow Kitchen, Zairo, The Rose, The Vane etc) were invited to perform and eventually create a “superband” while they compete against each other. The winners formed the band Hoppípolla, all members of Lucy were also contestants on the show. A second season aired in 2021. It’s a great show, think about watching it. Also that was Henry Lau during Jannabi's performance clip. Actually you saw a lot of SUJU here haha, the performance video then Heechul and Henry in the band video and Kyuhyun in New Journey to the West. Fun fact Jiwoo and Somin of KARD performed Lo Siento with Super Junior on Music shows.

I see that Mali has already talk about Superband but since I just saw this video today I also wanted to leave a comment about it cause it's such an amazing show! I'm sorry in advance cause it's gonna be a long comment since there is a lot to say about it (don't even know if you are gonna read this😅). Here we go... The first season aired in 2019 and it only had male participants. On Wiki it says that they were invited but from my understanding they applied themselves. There are solo, duos and groups that apply and it's both vocals, producers and pretty much every instrument you can imagine. During the show they can reinterpret already existing song or write their own. From the first round (the broadcasted auditions) the judges select people to go to the next round and for the first few rounds frontmen is chosen and they then get to select the members they want (the last person gets the people that are left). The bands then compete 1v1 where the winning team moves on to the next round and the losing team are up for eliminations (the winning team is selected by the judges). After all the teams have performed the judges choose with participants to eliminate from the losing teams (it doesn't have to be one from every team). This format then goes on for a few more rounds until there are less participants and they switch to all teams competing against each other. For the semi-finals fixed teams are selected and they choose their own team name. They then compete in two rounds of semi-finals where the points are added up for the final and make out 35% of the votes. The final is broadcasted live and the winner is chosen (the rest of the votes are 5% from pre-voting and 60% from text voting during the live broadcast). Season 2 aired in 2021 and this time it had both male and female participants due to backlash from the first season (don't know if it was only because of this). But from what I can remember the format of the show was the same. Superband has created a lot of legendary performances, a few of which you saw in the compilation. I would love for you to react to a few full performances so I hope that someone will suggest this in the future. One last thing since you were so surprised by the guy playing by touching the water. His name is D.pole and he is a DJ producer. He is amazing at programming so that's why he was able to play that way. Don't know exactly how it works but he explained it in the show and the MC got to try it out. He has also programmed gaming consoles, for example a gameboy and ps controllers, to work as instruments.
