I never liked the brother because he really was so mean and hateful but I do understand where he is coming from. He's lived with a memory that wasn't his own and that false memory is something that greatly influenced his personality and life. I took a psychology class at university and learned just how much memories are so often and easily manipulated. Especially childhood memories. Our childhood memories are often shaped by what others have told us about what happened rather than our own memories of past events. And it's actually quite common for siblings especially close in age to "switch" memories or mistake your sibling's memory as your own. Usually, it's not so extreme as the show makes it seem, but it was probably exacerbated by the fact that his parents corroborated his false memory. But more than that, I just feel bad for Young joon. To have gone through such trauma and basically be forced to repress your his feelings, it must have been horrible and extremely lonely. The mom's reluctance to have her sons treated for the trauma each has experienced was the root of the problem. I commend the actors and the writing for making people feel so strongly about the characters and their experience.
