The subs are now available on Friday :) The boyz aren't performing anymore they are painting, art. Masterpieces. The Boyz's performance is just superior, the structure of it, the elements they used, they also used the 3 levels in dance so well like always.. and yes the boyz are the ones who set the bar for rtk & kingdom perfs. Sunwoo's insane wrist strength... their expressions... Juyeon got me crying like fr fr.... I cried the whole day because of this perf... there was smth that I could feel... that hit home... anyway. There's SOOOOOO many things to say about their perf... it was perfect. The thing is that the first ep was just the introduction stage and it was voted by the fans. Now we don't know how the experts are gonna vote but I just pray so that The Boyz and SF9 don't get robbed lmao. SF9's performance was right in the middle like it was good enough for an introduction stage they showed a bit of their color and what's good is that we'll get surprised for the other perfs that's why it's also good enough. Fuck Mnet is all I have to say. They keep making SF9 dirty. They gave them 1min of screentime this episode YES 1MIN LIKE FOR REAL 1 MIN, no interview, don't tell them about the budget....... it annoys me so much when people think BTOB only have ballad songs, when my favourite BTOB songs are are hype and fun. Like a whole Blowing Up and Wow doesn't exist just to be slept on.

I am here as the boyz fan but mnet removing the entire footage of hyunjin from stray kids just because of small scandal is so unfair and according to the news they even removed him from the show I feel so sorry for it......However the boyz performance they just killed it ....Its just a art

The Boyz: - When they went under water it was like you said Kevin, to get a feel and to be able to immerse themselves in the emotions better. 
 - The hands for the POV shots actually belonged to two different women. They were standing on each side of the camera and had to work together to make it seem like they were one. 
 - Don’t know if you noticed but Sunwoo was hanging by his wrist on the rope. The rope was supposed to be lowered so that he could put his whole arm through but they had it too high. He had to jump and managed to put it at his elbow but when they pulled him up a little he slipped and it got caught on his wrist. You notice when the camera pans to him that he is holding the rope with his other hand and then letting go. if I remember correctly he said during a live that he was scared that he was gonna fall and try to get a better grip but it was his turn so ha had to let go. You can also notice that he looks up at the rope and that was not apart of the choreography. He was just so fascinated about the fact that he wasn’t falling.
 - They had a story line for their performances during Road to Kingdom and I think they are continuing it on here. Or they are creating a new one not really sure. .................................................... Ikon: - I kind of get why Ikon placed 6th… When I ranked the performances myself it was between Ikon and Sf9 for 6th place. All the performances were good but it felt like it lacked something. Plus I don’t really know what how I feel about the not lip synching… It just felt a little meh

. But their performance for round 1 was amazing and so catchy. But it still feels weird seeing them perform without Hanbin…
 - I love the new arrangement they did for love scenario and the change up to Killing me!
 - I feel like this performance was more in line with the show. As you said, it’s a program where you get ranked on your performances.
 - I felt like their performance for the introduction stage lacked something but this time around it was perfect. ................................................ BtoB: - This performance fits Kingdom and they still kept their own style and feel. I feel like people view them as a ballad group or the entertainment (they are pretty weird sometimes 😂) but they are so much more than that. 
 - The song they are performing is one of those song that everyone sings along with when you hear it. You don’t even need to know Korean. The part where they sing together after the sword dance is the part that they sing together with the fans and the audience. When you watch the live performances of this song it gives yo goosebumps!
 - (not really the performance) What SeongHwa did when he held up the phone that said BtoB on the screen was to avoid Mnet’s evil editing. JangJun (a member from Golden Child) did this during Road to kingdom. That why Mnet can’t edit the reactions as they like since you know which performance they are watching and talking about. 

 Mnet has a tendency to edit scens to their own likning to get more views or create drama. For example they can edit in a comment like “it wasn’t really that good” to make it seem like they were talking about a groups performance when in reality they talked about what they ate for lunch. With some dramatic music and BAM there you have it. 

So when they hold up the phone Mnet can’t use the clips in that way and it makes it more truthful.

it's not mnet removing hyunjin it's because he's on hiatus from everything connecting to skz so it's more because of jype. Mnet are just doing what the company asked. I hope he'll be back before kingdom ends but we can't know for sure...

I really liked Ikon and BtoB performances, and of course The boyz were also really good. I can't wait to see the other groups performances but mostly SF9's because it seems that they are going to perform the queen, Now or Never.

YesyesyesyesyesyesyesYESSSSS! I accidentally kicked my sister when David said "The Boyz have won me over." I FELT THAT. As always, it's so fun to witness that moment of others falling into groups that I already adore. I'm so excited cuz I can see it okay? You guys are going to go have that TBZ journey. *Evil Laugh* Anyway, I totally agree with the password. The performances really were upgraded and we're only halfway the first round! I just love love loooove the fact that all the groups (esp the ones I thought really hasn't gotten the grip of a "Kingdom" performance on the first ep yet) really are learning and adapting very quickly. The iKon performance was actually the most pleasing to me, to be honest. I love the concept, the mash-up, and the encore-at-the-end-of-a-concert vibe they gave off at the end. It was a moment v similar to ONF's "It's Raining" perf in RTK - it's that performance that makes you move and dance with them. I'm so glad they really stepped it up and seemed even more eager/motivated than before. This team really has a strong mentality and so much talent to pull themselves together. Talk about revival! BTOB... Omg BTOB. My first loves are NOT falling behind my dudes. For a moment, I really was scared for them but holymoly did they come THROUGH. I've always loved "Missing You" and I never thought I could love it more but this traditional version is so beautiful? They really still are the Kings of Live Performances. A mellow, yearning, slow song amongst intense heart-thumping performances in Kingdom? Only BTOB can make it work. The power that they have and they're only 4/7. If Kingdom came earlier, it will be Mamamoo in Queendom all over again. Plus, most of the screentime will be theirs, easy. And going back to The Boyz. Dear Lord where do I begin? I said it before, TBZ OWNS the Kingdom genre. I needn't say more about that. Although, I am a little disappointed with how "No Air" was quite unrecognizable. It's my fave TBZ song so I don't really love what they've done with it. But even then, I still think they're #1 as of now. As of now. Because it seems like SKZ, SF9, and ATEEZ also has some "pasabog" and "paandar" (Hi fellow Filipinos lol) up their sleeves. Oh and the song-switch thing for round 2? I absolutely agree with Kevin: whoever gets a BTOB song will have to give it their all. Not kidding, out of all covers/special stages that did BTOB, only 2 gave it justice imo so good luck!

BTOB'S performance moved me to tears. Multiple times. It's so beautiful. Loved it. iKON made me have to look up the original songs. Love them. And I like the way to was presented. Felt like a musical, and i love a good musical. The Boyz I really like No Air, the hands distracted me more than I thought they would. But I liked the new arrangement. I think they all performed very well. I lowkey wish everyone could win. They put in the work.

omg for interactions!! there's a "sports day" episode of kingdom apparently!! there were pictures posted of the groups in a field playing games so maybe we can get some interactions there!

When you mentioned if the stage was big to hold so many sets, they actually set up and take them down in between performances. On filming days, the groups are there for over 24 hours because of it. Seonghwa said on another show that after this episode was filmed, they’d been awake for 32 hours because they were also promoting Fireworks at the time. Filming for the next round took place last week and a dancer posted they had been there for 30 and a half hours. It’s crazy, I’m hoping everyone stays safe. Also they don’t get to see each other’s reactions or the other group’s behind the scenes segments until the episode airs. They watch just like us.

The Boyz are my ults but honestly I was a little disappointed with their stage this time.. In my opinion it felt like a little too... much? There were so many different components that they storyline wasn’t super clear to me (but maybe that’s because I know nothing about Game of Thrones lol). Also The Boyz are reallyyy putting a lot of pressure on themselves and I hope they dont push themselves too hard even though they want to amaze us! Sunwoo is scared of heights and water, yet he pushed himself to hang from that rope and go underwater. Plus in the rope move he was actually supposed to be hanging from his elbow but he slipped and caught it by his wrist- u can see him struggle if you watch his fancam! I remember they did a vlive where he seemed to be wearing a jacket to cover up bruises on his arm :( Other than that one of the members seemed to be wearing a cast on his ankle under the table in one of the sitting scenes. And you also saw how Juyeon was falling on that jump in the introduction stages. I’m so proud of them for striving to be the best but I hope they don’t hurt themselves <3 I recommend you check out the full cam of The Boyz’s performance! You can see how they did all the camera work and everything that goes on behind the camera, it’s really cool! You also find out that the POV hands are actually two people, not one lol. This whole performance has so much going into it and it was truly art. My personal favorite from these 3 is actually BTOB’s though! Missing You is one of my favorite songs from them. The arrangement, the vocals, and the set was so beautiful and so emotional though it may not have been as technically challenging! Also, idk if you know about this but there’s actually a member of The Boyz whose name is Kevin lol! He’s from Vancouver, Canada along with another member, Jacob, who’s from Toronto. The maknae, Eric, lived in LA for around 5 years as well and all three of them speak fluent English. I really do hope you get more into The Boyz! They have the funniest personalities and I think you’d vibe with them a lot :)

Omg I also forgot to mention this pretty important bit about the performances this round: there was a huge miscommunication about the allocated budget for these performances! Basically what happened was that one of the groups (we don’t know who) went over budget for the performance, so Mnet raised the budget for all the groups. However, only 3 of the 6 groups were notified about the raised budget, so some group performances were planned with a high budget than some others, They never specified the groups that went over budget but I think it’s pretty clear who was working with what kind of budget. I’m not shading any groups though! Imo it’s Mnet’s fault for not making sure everyone knew, the groups themselves are not at fault at all! So I’m really not sure how the voting and stuff for this round will work cuz of that difference. But I think it’s probably pretty important to keep in mind :/ (also I could be wrong please don’t come at me I’m just saying what I saw from various sources lol)

i loved all the performances !! but btob just hit me differently, i only listened to them casually before kingdom they were already my 2nd fav in the intro round... and now from the three performances this round that we've already seen i think theirs impacted me the most. All the performances were awesome, i don't want mean to say the others weren't great, btob just stayed on my mind more somehow. also i really liked the musical concept ikon had going on *__* and the boyz as always created a huge scale performance, really impressive i forgot to say: i really like how you talk about the placement. like somebody is 6th out of those 6 who are all amazing, not the whole industry... i feel like that's important to remember even tho still none of the groups deserve to place 6th on the show ^^

The Boyz going underwater was to help them actually feel that desperation of having no air and struggling to get out so that they can better portray the emotions on stage, what better way to learn to act out an emotion than to experience first hand? Haha but in the end they were also able to get that video for the intro of the performance so two birds with one stone! I agree with one of the comments above, I liked this The Boyz performance and so far it's #1 for me as of now but I do feel like a bit TOO much was going on? I think it's because they're stressing themselves to do better and more than what they did in RTK that the stage and performance became a bit cluttered. Though people watching them for the first time having not watched all of their RTK performances may not notice this and actually really enjoy the performance which seems like the case with you guys so I'm glad they're gaining new fans through this!
