Disclaimer: Some content in this episode is offensive towards the black community.  Hwang Jae Sung's use of blackface is wrong even if he was only mimicking a deity. We are aware that this may be common in other countries but that doesn't make it right. We just want to let you all know in case you want to skip this episode. If we knew this ahead of time, we would have thought twice before watching it. We know this does not reflect on GOT7, since they also seemed uncomfortable.

wow, very nice of you to give that warning. I haven't actually watched this episode yet, i think i stopped at episode 4 cause i got busy and forgot. But very strange i haven't seen many people talking about this. Then again, i don't think this was a huge show in the fandom so many fans may not have watched it or maybe just haven't finished it either. I'll watch it with you guys and for got7, but that's just fucked up....it was 2019, like....wow.

yeah that segment had me extremely uncomfortable but black and Thai ahgases has a discussion when this was released and they informed us that he was initially Thai deity and we understood. Only thing that’s uncomfortable is upon more research that deity is apparently supposed to be black so idk

I think the Thai ahgases cleared that it is indeed how the god looks? Don’t rmb what exactly they said but the show itself was really funny

yeah i was so uncomfortable and upset when i watched the segment that I had just skipped it. i was really glad got7 were also uncomfortable

I was thrown of by the blackface when I watched this episode for the first time, he could have worn the deity clothes without doing black face. The fan service though and GOT7s reaction calmed me down. Or maybe it is because in South Africa we don’t care that much unless they use it to mock black people,but here they were not(apparently the deity was black?)
