This is one of the reasons I love bighit, you’re right they don’t send them to many variety shows instead they have their own content (Run, Gayo, Bon Voyage, Season’s Greating, Summer Packages and Bangtan Bombs) which makes armys really happy and the boys comfortable. As you guys know variety shows put a lot of pressure on idols and basically have them there to ask them to do a bunch of stuff like making them dance, do aegyo, make the mcs laugh or whatever and most of the time it just comes off as cringey since the idol’s embarrassed but wants to do what they’re asked. And also part of it is how a lot of these mcs treated bts like shit too (some even telling them now I should’ve treated you better had I known you’d be famous) so armys don’t want the boys to waste their time there we’re already happy and well fed with the content they give us lol.

You should react to BTS Summer Packages in Saipan, Philippines, Dubai, Malaysia etc. They are like Bon Voyage. They’re fun to watch

I really don’t like this weekly idol episode. BTS often turn down many variety shows due to miss treatment that they’ve had. Therefore bighit make their own variety shows ( bangtan gayo, run, bon voyage, summer package, season greetings, festa, bangtan boms video, ect) that make BTS enjoy themselves, relax and feel happy. Right now many variety show wish they didn’t mistreated BTS back then to know how big they’ve become right now. (Except knowing brothers, well they invite BTS when they already huge, so they treated BTS differently)

bts do that on their own anyways, they make each other dance and do aegyo and humiliating things, lol. I don't think they care about that much. Some of the stuff they do in their own shows is more embarrassing than they do in weekly idol or other shows. It's more cause of the mistreatment, which honestly i've seen happen to groups even under the big 3. The shows clearly have favoritism and treat some groups better than others. That's why groups seem much happier and more comfortable in their own shows. I'm glad bighit saw this and stopped it, it shows they actually care about their treatment.

you guy should check out BTS on Knowing Brothers if you haven't already, i believe its their most recent/last variety show appearance and it was back in 2017

i never watched the full thing and i feel uncomfortable lol. Yoongi was really nervous, you could tell. He holds his hands in front of himself when he's nervous, i notice that. AHHH i'm too protective, it just hurt seeing yoongi rejected like that, cause you know it must have taken a lot for him to MAKE the song then to GIVE it to them on the show. Like we know how quiet he is and yoongi doesn't just go around handing out songs like that :( his little kitten eyes were so sad, i wanted to fight them. When i watched Monsta X, i think they said they wrote their own profiles. Also, Monsta X is from a smaller company and they were mistreated as well...it honestly sucks. They even cut out a whole member's profile, I.M., and i just noticed they cut of Yoongi's here. He never did the introduction either... He never got to introduce himself, wtf. How are you gonna introduce a group and cut out a member. At least don't make it obvious you're cutting someone out...

Yeah like I've watched weekly idol from way back in the beginning with groups like Infinite. So I know how Dony & Cony are. They joke a ton, they are very savage, love insults, but this episode always hit me the wrong way. It just felt more like they felt "annoyed" to have this group on their show. Like the next two episodes of BTS on it you can see the difference in how they treated them. But this episode just felt "forced". Like both parties are feeling forced to "enjoy themselves" when no ones really enjoying anything.

True, they do that on their own but because they want to and not because others are pressuring them to. Also, with where they are today and their status they can refuse to do stuff without coming off as rude but rookies ( like them before) are expected to do everything they're asked, and most of the time it just shows that they're uncomfortable and embarrassed so it's just not an entertaining thing to watch.. and the mistreatment and favoritism thing too.

Jhope Jimin & Jungkook were like the dance line (V joined recently after being recognised for singularity, im so proud uwu) , but yeah so they are the 3Js and practice dance together and do a lot of dances that are totally unrelated to their own choreo too lol So according to them, in their free time they like to dance to girl group songs and usually it's Jungkook or Jhope who teach XDD actually in the group, Jungkook and Jhope are known for being really good at almost any girl group song and they both learn very quickly from watching so. It's really fun to watch the 3Js when they dance together and when they goof around with their dancing too

We don't know if we'll start a series yet since reacting to another hr long episode each week, along with the rest of videos we watch each day is do-able for us right now since David is taking finals and other university related things but we will be reacting to other things more variety show related maybe 2-3 each month. ☺

One thing I like about Korea is that respect is a very big part of their culture, to older people and more experience people, etc. But because of these ranks, there's a lot of mistreatment on camera and even more off camera. It's not a thing against BTS, it's all rookies from even the big 3 (even in the same companies and sometimes in the same group). It's a real social issue. I'm just glad they can do their own thing and that Big Hit gives them the platform to do so. Like you said, we are very well fed.
