I didn't feel this song much at first either, but then like a year after it was released I randomly listened to it again and it was so much better than I remembered?? I think it takes a while to really like it haha

I think the story started as bobby, hanbin and the girl as friends. Hanbin really likes the girl but knowing bobby also likes the girl, he’s afraid of ruining their friendship. He found out that the girl was leaving and initially thought it would be the best for them. He intentionally put out the batteries of his alarm clock so that he’ll not be able to think of the time the girl would leave but eventually he realized he really loves the girl. He tried to chase and stop her but it was too late 😢

Fun fact... Hanbin wrote this song because of his experience with uncomfortable airplane seats.. LOL! 🤣🤣🤣This is legit, not kidding. The story mainly centers around Hanbin and the girl. It starts off as a love triangle with close friends. Before it was always Bobby who interrupted them but as time went by Hanbin was the one getting 3rd wheeled and he started interrupting. He accidentally saw her plane ticket and figured out she was leaving which he didn’t want to and his wish is for time to just stop (that’s why he took the batteries out of the clock). And he kept looking at the airplane, thinking about how she was leaving. So before it’s too late he runs out to get to her but by the time that he does she’s already on the plane taking off (which is where the chorus lyrics relate to the story and they’re telling the plane to stop and let the girl off cause there’s too much wind, rain etc. And pretty much making excuses to make the plane stop). Bobby is like the second lead in a drama while Hanbin is the main lead

When I first heard this song, i thought the lyrics said “I missed the airplane” because hanbin really missed the airplane. But it’s “hey mr airplane”

This is definitely a song that grows on you, especially if you can relate to it 😩 but I agree it's a beautiful song. Not one I would listen to everyday but when I am in my moods and in need of chocolate 😍 anyways always looking forward to your iKON reactions and more power to you guys!
