I had so much fun with your reaction on this episode and I'm glad you guys were very reasonable about Coolio and Dante. So I'll be looking forward to the next episodes, it just get better! I hope you guys and our community here have a great weekend!

Dude, I couldn't stop laughing at Tae's impersonations!

Well...yeah...😖...okay...alright. Just 6 episodes more to go. Coolio...I don't know if he was still relevant in America at that time but I lost all my respect for him when he tried to revive his career live on German TV. https://youtu.be/C5-fWt9XbN8 damn it...that was 10 years ago...I'm getting old. I think he had a good point he wanted to get across but the way he did it was a bit questionable. Okay, now to my friend Dante...I don't swear normally but with this guy I used every bad word I could think of. I should rinse my mouth right now. He was way too over the top. He was stubborn...He didn't listen and he was rude. When he hit Jin I was ready to fight him. Jin still smiled but he had pissy eyes...I never saw that cold look on Jin. Yoongi was questioning the whole situation and was ready to help me beat Dante up. I know it wasn't a chicken but Jin was about to explain. I'm glad that he was gone after that episode... Great reaction though...I had to laugh so hard when Kevin lost it about Tae mocking Coolio. Tae got his little revenge 😎

Loved this reaction guys... I've been catching up on Patreon reactions as my internet went down! This is also my first time commenting on any platform, i always get too nervous. But, it's refreshing to watch AHL with you guys to see other's opinions. I feel like I'm getting a different interpretation of the show now with you guys. I use to be so angry with the show when I first watched it but it's nice to see your opinions as it changes some of the perspective I first had. Thank you for the great reaction! I'll try to comment more from now!

Ooohh episode 2!! 😄😄 Lmao every time David said he was LiViD, had me dying. You both had me dying in this reaction 😂😂 This episode for sure had it's ups and downs but I believe the most fun part was when they were giving rice cakes to the people! 😂❤ I feel like I'm the only one who feels this way but LoWkEy mY bOyS nEeD sOmE LaDiEs- 👀👀 I'm pretty sure they'll get some in the future though! 😂😂😂 I definitely understand about both sides for Coolio. I understand that he was definitely harsh at some points but like, i think he has his good moments too! He is teaching them hip hop, something i can tell he takes very seriously, so he would obviously be teaching them that way too. I'm not sure if i explained it well enough but hopefully you guys understand 😂😂💦 Also I see you David, that gold ring on your pinkie 👀👀👀 Anyways, this was fun to watch before I head to work! Thank you and love you guys, have a nice day ❤❤❤💜💜💜 *edit* I know about the whole Dante thing and that situation did made me mad too. The others explained/said enough about it so yeah, i agree with them👍 that's why i don't mention it 👍

Loved it loved it loved it! It was a bit hard to watch this episode, cause I get so mad about Dante but it helped to concentrate on you guys to help me through it. 😁 thanks! Worst parts are over now, if I remember correctly, so I'll enjoy watching this series with you guys even more now. Great reaction and thanks for the schedule. 🙆‍♀️💜🙆‍♀️

agreed, jungkook asking namjoon to tell coolio to stop making tae do the push ups was adorable. I think the teams were quite unfair, because you literally put all the dancers in one group lol. Of course they're gonna win. Not to mention, for the cooking, they literally put the worst cooks in a group together, lol. So Tae was trying to be funny (since they're imitating rappers and he doesn't rap, so Namjoon was doing the rapping part.), but coolio doesn't seem to understand (or like?) Tae's humor. I think the problem is that he doesn't take Tae seriously as a musician, which could be on Tae's fault cause he comes off as goofy, but at the same time, the missions aren't very serious...and idk how Tae can show off his talent within these missions, cause he wasn't a dancer back then and this is about rapping, so Coolio never gave him really a chance to show his talent properly. Jin would be in the same boat, but this was about cooking, so then Jin had an advantage here. Tae was just made to be a lost cause this episode :/ but it was really cute how he got so much love in that thrift store. They literally used Tae's cuteness to get discounts. I was dead. I felt bad for Yoongi and Jin, but at the same time, BTS are going to meet stubborn, rude people. The guy put no effort into communicating or helping. I notice Jin was telling Yoongi 'hold it in, don't do this' and I felt like there was more going on off camera cause Yoongi seemed really pissed off and I doubt he'd be mad over small things. In an interview, Tony said he didn't know why the guy was being so rude to them. I think Tony was the one who put the most effort into trying to communicate and understand them. (nate did too, but its not shown as much)

People have already brought up some good points but this show just brings up some interesting things for me. Also I just realised this is my first time commenting. I will say there were some great teachers on this show as well as some forgettable ones, but Coolio was annoying to me. He had some good points, the ending was cute and I understand him, doesn't mean I can stand by some of the things said in the beginning cause these boys work hecking hard and he seemed to think they were a joke and acted like a douche without any reason from the get go; even his challenges seemed a bit odd and didn't let the boys shine, but I know you cant cater to all of them, especially when they came to learn hip hop specifically so... On the subject of V I think you were right in what you said, and if it was truly too far I have no doubt the hyung line would be on that, for any of their maknae line. Final note, it takes a lot for Suga to end up that pissed off so I am assuming stuff happened off camera, I also think we don't see Dante again. The disrespect can be seen but it's born of ignorance, and I have no doubt the boys had each other for any bad seeds they had to deal with, so I guess it was a learning experience in the end, I hope for Coolio too. Doesn't mean I can't be frustrated with this show especially the first two episodes. Poor baby BTS x

“I’m LIVID” same David SAME 😂 In all seriousness I just want to thank you two for doing all these reaction videos, y’all are relatable and hilarious. Subscribing and being a Patron is probably one of the best decisions I’ve ever made because you never fail to make me laugh and make my day. You two are great and thank you for always supporting BTS and the other groups ☺️ P.S. I love your friendship btw, Keep it up you guys 👍❤️❤️

Great reactions guys! I enjoyed this episode so much more watching it with you than by myself. It was one of my least favorite but your laughter made it better. ;-) I agree with you Kevin about Coolio. Although his methods of teaching the boys are somewhat questionable, I really do think that he had good intentions towards the boys. You made a good point about how hip hop was his life and he may have felt that these guys may be "posers" and so he was somewhat harsh on them as if they were mocking his way of life. Which we ALL KNOW wasn't the case. ANYWHO looking forward to the next episode!

SNBangtan

No, I totally agree with you on Coolio. Like he seemed harsh but HipHop is real to him--and he had to fight for it. He's of the era where HipHop wasn't mainstream, where they had to fight for respect and it was so tied to the identity of black Americans that I'm sure seeing a bunch of teenage pretty boys wearing chains and thinking that's enough to take up the mantle of "hiphop" kind of pissed him off. And then Tae's joke (which, we know was good-natured because we know Tae is a sweetheart) probably seemed really disrespectful to him and that was compounded by the rest of them laughing. So I get it. He wanted to set the tone that this was serious to him and they weren't going to get anywhere with it if they just treated hiphop like a gimick--no matter how good they were. I'm glad he gets to know the boys a little better and they start to take it more seriously. I really think it was just a collision of eras and cultures and how they approach something that Coolio and at least 3 of the boys really love. But Coolio really helped originate the genre so he's earned the right to put the boys in their place a little. They're definitely better for it, today. Donte can go fuck himself tho. Jin has the patience of an angel for real. Bet he's really regretting not being nicer to them now...

So I knew the moment was coming, but your guys' laugh when Tae came out in the pigtails made me spit my water everywhere. 😂 😂 You're honestly my fave BTS reactions cause you're both so genuine. Loved it thanks Guys ^-^ Regarding the ep, your commentary made me look at Coolio more evenly and I get what you're saying, but still when he calls Tae a "disadvantage" and the look on Tae's face- Oof it undoes like any good karma. BUT we're done with Coolio (ʸᵃʸ) and the next episode is my favorite (ʸᵃʸ) and you said you were going to react to Yaman (ʸᵃʸ) and Knowing Brothers (ʸᵃʸ) Can't wait!

After this episode dante is cancelled.. ugh.. the disrespect 😒

susan matheson

After AHL, you might like to react to Go! BTS, this is a special from BTS's 2nd trip to the LA a month later. They came for their first time at KCON in 2014. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G8DMfXkX7zU it's only 45 min - a good follow-up to AHL.

I just made a comment above, and then was thinking you may have already watched this. If so, please ignore me :).

I found the crew on AHL really rude and insincere. As you said especially Dante. I find the whole thing cringey (is that a word?). Like in ep 1 when they got "kidnapped", i understood their fear. It wasn't a good representation for black americans either. I totally understood, why Yoongi left, I'd have done the same. Jin was the MVP in this, because he tried to keep everything from escalating.

Itami

I did not see the playful in any bit of his attitude tbh. if it was miscommunication. i'd have paid it no mind, but the Dante dude was straight up disrespectful, immature, and ridiculous.

Anonymous

seriously though! Does anyone know what the deal with Tae's hand was? I cannot find info anywhere!

Anonymous

It was just a cast. People wear it for support, or when they have a mild sprain. I'm guessing that doing the pushups might have triggered some muscle pain.

Kookielove82

Coolio is such a disrespectful asshole especially to V .. and look who’s the global superstar here #stayhumble #gucciking

Benedeen

I wouldn't say that Dante was right because Jin was about to explain to him that they searched around and couldnt find an actual chicken but he was being STUPID and RUDE about it, maybe if he actually walked around and tried to help them find a chicken instead of complaining they would be an actual CHICKEN

Love your reactions guys. I enjoyed this episode so much just watching it with you

I wish a biss would try and call Taehyung a “disadvantage” in front of me. I promise, it wouldn’t end well. Like I’m legit pissed rn.

Carmen Johnson

honestly this episode wasn't as bad as I thought. yeah Dante was a jerk, and Namjoon and Tae's performance was hella cringy to say the least, also Coolio was kind of bogus to Tae at the end, but there were a lot of funny moments and I could watch it again maybe in the far future. But Kevin and David your reactions made it 10x easier to watch 😂😂😂
