Progress Update and September 2020 (Patreon)

Hey Guys just wanted to give you all an update and let you know whats going on with me.

The Sweet Life pilot comic

   Ok so if you are reading this, I am likely hard at work on the 2 Sweet Life comic pages right now. I'm planning to have them done by the end of today. So you can look forward to that.
   The comic is going well, there's a bit more story to tell. These upcoming pages will get your imaginations churning, as well as take us back to the Dnd "A" plot that we started at. I won't spoil too too much ;)
   This pilot comic is going to turn out to be more pages than I originally planned, but I'm ok with that to be very honest. I want this first issue to be a launching off point for the Sweet Life Comic Universe so I don't mind this first issue being a big deal.

Rule 34 comics

   Regarding this month's winning idea with Dexter's mom, I'm terribly sorry to report that it's going to be late. As in, it'll probably be delivered in early September. I'm really sorry for the disappointment and the inconvenience.

    I've been doing these rule 34 comics for a couple months now, and this isn't the first time I've been late with a delivery. I've analysed myself and why I have trouble being on time with them. I think it's because it takes time to:

A. Come up with a list of characters I feel I could do justice to
B. A list of stories/scenarios to make into a comic
C. Wait for you guys to vote on which idea/character you want to see.

   It then takes more time for me to come up with how I want to tell the story and illustrate it, not to mention find my footing drawing the character and the world in my style in a way that is faithful to the original IP.

   For me, doing all of this in one month as well as all my other stuff, is a bit of a tall order. But I think I have the solution:
   I'm going to take a break from the Rule 34 comics for September.
Instead what we will do together, is come up with a big ole list of Rule 34 characters for comics as well as unique cool scenarios for them to get down and dirty in. We will take our time with that, and just throw all sorts of ideas into the mix. Once we have that big list, We will pull from that for polling starting in October. This way all the ideas have already been picked and I would at least have an idea of what can be done and start thinking about them long before being ready to draw. I think this will help me greatly and reduce the chances of late deliveries in the future.

But what are you gonna do with the spare time in September Monkey?

   In the spare time I will have in September, (yes I will be doing the Dexter's mom comic) but I also wanted to do more fun things with my OCs. I had an idea of recreating popular memes with my Sweet Life characters, and we can use them for reaction memes on social media etc.  I think that could be really funny.
I will also probably just draw and sketch ideas from whatever comic ideas we come up with, and possibly do more pages from the Sweet Life Comic.

   I feel like I'm getting a little burnt out with all the request and commission stuff I take on, and with your permission and support,  I would really like some down time to explore some new ideas for myself without the pressure of feeling like I'm doing it specifically for someone else. Given a little breathing room and space for myself, I know I can create some  hot stuff I know you guys will like. So thats what I'm planning to do for September. I hope you guys will support that.

   Let me know how you feel about this in the comments. Your feedback is really important to me, and I always feel very nervous when I pitch new ideas to you guys. I want everything I do and make to be worth your support, and I don't want to disappoint my Patrons.
