Name: Bernadette "Bernie" Oaks

Background before changing: Tough "greaser," complete with shades,

bubble-gum, leather jacket, taped-up fists, and gratuitously gelled-up

hair. "One of the boys," got to be head of their gang by beating up the

old leader, led despite bitterness of some male members at having a

girl in charge. Stayed "covered up" most of the time rather than show

"femininity," which she associated with weakness. Selected for project

thanks to family history of fertility (is one of about five children,

from two parents in similarly-large families), obvious exceptional

physical traits (available due to criminal record, doesn't necessarily

refer to boobs although it also refers to boobs, legs, etc.), and her

natural charisma and drive for dominance. Hated and resented both

idea of separating from gang and moving and generally-sexualized

atmosphere of bunker, picked lots of fights.

What are they like after changing: Increase in muscle mass, but also in

general "femininity," which she has become comfortable with upon

understanding that it does not make her "weak." Hair grows too long too

fast to gel properly if shaved, body too curvy to hide behind jacket

and loose pants, but doesn't really mind anymore. Angry, tough attitude

still present, but "softened" a little. Has amassed small new

mixed-gender "gang," but doesn't really pick fights anymore. Enjoys

exerting dominance over other "gang" members via sexual intercourse

rather than physical violence, is very protective of them, cares for

each of them. Does *not* have a hidden submissive streak; will always

seek to establish control and command in any sexual situation and, if

another party temporarily seizes the upper hand, will work to

reestablish dominance.

How do they feel about it: At first, frightened, but, afterwards,

accepting, and even fulfilled. Likes new respect, lack of perceived

resentment in new "gang." Enjoys having close relationship without

worrying about being usurped.
