Patreon Stream November 17th (Patreon)

Hello everyone!

Next month's patreon stream will be on the 17th of November.

This stream's theme will be OC super heroes! 

Characters must be your OC and you must choose a super hero power to go with them. Try to keep it out of "all powerful Mcguffin" territory.

...So, I get four suggestions for this apparently. Huh. Well, my old DC Universe Online character, for one, was the Faceless Lady. She was tall and buxom, like your ladies usually are, but she also dressed in boots, pants, and a trenchcoat/buttonup combo, with a hood and a gas mask. She fought with two pistols, but also used magic spells to summon otherworldly creatures and regenerate herself for that extra boost, and had a pair of mechanical "wings" that she used to fly. Oh, right. She also had a dark-blue/blue color scheme, with lime-blue highlights like the glowing eyes of the gas mask and the metallic parts of her wings. She's a silent, mysterious heroine who mostly fights mobsters and evil cultists, and her pistols have magic bullets into which she carves the names of people she shoots with them and where they're going to get shot (non-fatally, mostly), something she carefully figures out using scrying magic before she attacks. No one really knows what she looks like under the mask and clothes, and I've toyed with everything from making her undead to some kind of otherworldly creature. I also have a hero I plan to play in the upcoming Sentinels of the Multiverse RPG, the Phantom Cosmonaut, but he's a skeleton in an old, hole-ridden Soviet spacesuit, so I'm not sure if it's something you'd have any interest at all in drawing. I'd prefer to get your permission before going into tons of detail.

I do have one O.C. His name is Lexicon. He's a scholar and a sorcerer. He's a lot more than that, but respecting the rules, one of his more commonly used ability is sigil magic: using inscribed circles of power to amplify cast spells and conduct rituals. He's advanced to the point where he doesn't need magical chalk, but simply draw circular sigils and symbols in the air with magic alone. To strangers, he is a mysterious vagrant who suddenly appears out of nowhere, and yet eventually blends into whatever society he enters. To friends and allies, he is a jolly scholar filled with wisdom, charm, and the occasional, but intentional, bad puns. He is a teacher by heart and loves to collect and share knowledge with those willing to listen. His powers can rival that of greater superheroes, but he prefers resolutions through diplomacy and bluffs than to fight off the bat. Most of all, he can travel to different universes or worlds on instinct. His weapons are a long sword, and a magic staff that can change its length and size on his command. After an experimental EM field disruptor malfunctioned and nearly destroyed her central nervous system while she was jogging nearby, nursing student Rebecca Slate was left comatose with no chance of recovery. Despite this, as she lay in her hospital bed she could hear people suffering all around her – and when she later had a dream of a dark creature offering her a chance to help them, she took that chance without a second thought. She awoke from her coma miraculously endowed with a powerful electric aura and an accelerated nervous system, allowing her to move and react with five times the speed of a normal human – and more importantly, to deliver a signature electric shock, strong enough to restart a human heart. But that wasn’t the end for Pulse; again she awoke in the dark place she’d first made her pact, and there learned that she’d signed her soul away to the Demon Doctor, Buer – a relatively benevolent demon, as it would turn out. As Pulse had been reducing his vastly excessive workload with her services on Earth, The Demon Doctor had no desire to allow her to expire from her injuries or allow Pestilence to roam free. So he imbued Pulse with his powers, turning her into his personal Nurse – and returned her to the fight as Pulse Star!
