Corpse dance concepts (Patreon)

The original sketches that were made before drawing out the Corpse Dance animation aye.

The main idea revolved around a joke regarding having our friends meet up, wear creepy masks and walk around the city in them. After some addictive listenings to the song as well as receiving an amazing animation from yurii, (https://twitter.com/zandoku_beni/status/1308743923066523649?s=20 ) I decided to begin work on this.

We were all supposed to be holding weapons (Cyb-sword, Pit-bat, Leper-Spear and Sparky-gun) but only the bat made enough sense to appear in two shots. It also isn’t as hard to animate.

The dance cycle was definitely the most time consuming aspect of it. Figuring out how to do shadows for it was also hard as the feet that were supposed to connect to the shadow were very uneven, it required a lot of manual tweaking.
