Anyways, at first it was a little confusing how to get the tail down. Of course, starting off with the dark aspects before adding in the light typically works with all sorts of things, including lava lamps! Get your basics down before doing the fancy stuff too. Layer modes also help a TON with final rendering and glows, experiment with those!!
